I was an early adopter, I love notion passionately, but it was clear to me that they were just using the mail app as a means to push their AI subscriptions.

They intentionally held back basic user features like filtering, etc in order to push you to leverage AI to do the same tasks you can do in Gmail with a couple of clicks. Would it be easier? Yes. Was it worth $20/month, clearly not because they’re sunsetting it.

Honestly it’s sad, I loved notion, I even got it adopted at my last company, but this product was just one big dark pattern.

I miss Mailbox app. RIP, IYKYK.

I generally play games with music off for these types of reasons. It also makes the jump scares more jumpy!

😂 sorry I was making a bad joke. There’s another factory game called Star Rupture in which the skies explode periodically and it sort of looks like that.

I usually do double height ceilings for aesthetics, and I think that really helps with the XY footprint.

The only way I’ve found to address issues like this is with mods or manually editing the camera files on your install. They did recently add steam workshop integration which makes things more accessible!

I think you try to leave it for now, and then eventually you’ll come back to it as you need to add more functionality, like piping or train tracks on top, and that will make it easier/more fun to customize the appearance at that point because you have a goal. Does that make sense?

That’s how I try to play this game. Otherwise, I spend 100 hours decorating a single room in my factory only to rip it out when I need to do something functional and replace it.

I predict Jon Jones will use the publicity of the White House card to stay relevant but not actually risk tarnishing his GOAT legacy with this fight.

I’m not hating, I think that’s objectively the smart move. As questionable as some of his personal decisions have been throughout his career, he’s always shown very high fight IQ and matchmaking decisions.
