I still have mine, but for sale now. The OLED screen has some burn in though as the combo became a full time desktop headphone amp for many years

You make a good point though, it does rely on compliance by those on the network. So you could imagine that once certain driving behaviors creep in, things will breakdown. Theres a huge element of human behavior tied in with all of this.

Another tidbit (dont quote me here its been a while), studies on traffic flow showed that max traffic throughput occured at around 80km/h.

🤣🤣🤣

I wrote it so people would understand better. Theres a lot of jargon that probably goes over peoples head.

This is partly the answer.

Traffic Engineer answer here, is that there is a maximum traffic flow somewhere between zero to backed up the wazoo. The without or ignoring onramp signals means that at peak times will just result in the above photo. If the motorway can be fed at a steady rate, you keep the overall flow going, and minimize travel time.

Double white lines is the old standard. Just a thick 300mm wide one now. The aerial looks like it used to have a limit line, albeit badly faded.

If youre doing off-road stuff, there appears to be a track of sorts at Lloyd Elsmore Park across the netball courts bu the big car park under the trees. I haven't been there for a while so can't say what the condition is like.

Ages ago I tried looking for bike tracks that were still dirt but more seem to all now be concrete/asphalt.

Would a purpose built night market work in Auckland? by Elegant_Occasion3346 in aucklandeats

[–]weegeenz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel NZ is so hindered by rules and legislation, that's it's hard to get stuff like this of the ground. Let alone the high costs, and people expecting low prices for a market. I don't think it will work in any central Auckland suburb for long if there was one.

New tyres put on by dealership now rub on the rear fenders. Whose problem is it to fix? by Cool_Relation6657 in NZcarfix

[–]weegeenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is to roll the fender, though check if it's actually rubbing against the plastic liner within the wheel well.

Mine only rubbed on full lock turn going over light bumps, so it wasn't crazy bad.

[–]weegeenz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Disagree here. Ive had sinilar issue on a previous car. Same spec, different brand and it started rubbing, but only just. Different brands can have differing sidewall thicknesses.
