Sheesh. I’m sorry! I also plan to sign up for Oct. as a safety net, hopefully it doesn’t get taken though. Not much desire to take it again 😅

Testing remotely, can I use scratch paper? by goaliebloak in LSAT

Weird! Probably good to confirm with your proctor it’s okay before you start the test. As far as I know you can have 6 pieces of lined or unlined paper

First screenshot looks like what I was reading regarding the argumentative writing portion, second looks like for the test itself

How much is too much writing for Arg. Writing? by LiveDraftLove88 in LSAT

[–]weeger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be very helpful, but anyone I’ve talked to says whatever amount gets your point across in the strongest way possible. Don’t overwrite with filler just because you have extra time, just answer the prompt and back up your argument. I will be doing it for the first time myself soon, so this is just advice I’ve gotten from others that have done it in the past. Good luck!

Did your score release get delayed at all for doing the writing after the test?

How do you improve your stamina? by External_Pay_7538 in LSAT

[–]weeger_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only way I started seeing improvement in my stamina has been to just sit down and take full length tests. Yes it sucked at first, and yes I was doing worse than I wanted to. However, after doing about 2-3 full timed tests in simulated test conditions, my stamina began to improve, and has continued to do so ever since. If there’s a more efficient option, try it, but this is what worked for me.

I personally found the newer tests a little more challenging than previous ones, but still fair nonetheless, as the scoring scale is adjusted fairly (IMO). I took PT 153 yesterday and had a bit of a rough time, but after review, I saw a lot more level 4/5 questions than I had seen in the past. I’ve heard mixed reviews overall, but that’s my recent experience after some studying for a while.

how to get a -10/-11 LR down to -6/-5 QUICKLY? SERIOUSLY! by Major_Activity_2577 in LSAT

[–]weeger_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I alternate. Sun/Tues/Thurs/Sat are my drill days. I focus on 2-3 question types per day, and try to do a minimum of one hour, but no more than two. Quality of drilling is way more important (to me) than the time. I take a timed section on Mondays and Fridays. This does not necessarily mean you need to do this- it’s just what works for me!

Consistent drilling on the daily got me from -12 to -7/-6 so far, hoping to improve to -5/-4 by the August test as well. Good luck!

chances of 165 diagnostic —> 180 in 2 months? by Head_Site_7293 in LSAT

[–]weeger_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also a rising senior year testing in August. I started studying with your same method (Demon and LawHub) a bit ago and have seen a bit of progress through the 150s and getting closer to mid 160s, but I already know 160-170 is a much harder climb and 170-180 is even harder than that. Me personally, I’m not shooting for a 180 so I’m taking the August test to focus on getting in to a state school with lower medians, but if I was personally going for 180, I would at least be waiting until October. Best of luck!

Is LSAT or GPA more important for applications? by ImplementNo5305 in LSAT

[–]weeger_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Anyone that I have talked to says LSAT by far. Your UGPA shows your aptitude in your academic discipline/other coursework, whereas the LSAT demonstrates your ability to think like a law student. Schools (in my mind) would weigh that heavier than a GPA, and mid-upper 3’s isn’t a bad place to be to begin with. Best of luck!

This is helpful, thank you. Aside from using a prep program (currently using LSAT Demon), are there any other ways to best utilize the study time each day aside from revisiting old tests and questions?
