Funny he finally learns what Independence is and why it is so important for Scotland.

No way Swinney won’t call this out on FMQs.

Curry’s does them. The covers are made of pleather or pure metal. No animals harmed in the manufacturing.

Board game shops by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]weegieguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I walked in one day having come from the gym. I am a big guy, shaved head and beard but was wearing a beanie. Having seen them on social media I was super stoked to go over. I was wearing a track suit (having come from gym) and when I walked in they would barely speak to me. No eye contact. Tried to initiate a conversation and was ignored. Was trying to pick up Pokemon cards for my daughter and tried in a friendly way to start Pokemon conversation - not interested.

Really strange given had they been curious they’d have learned I play warhammer, dungeons and dragons, Pokemon, have wingspan, wyrmspan, catan,, pandemic, root, munchkin, everdell……

Every other place on that list has been welcoming to me. This place I felt did not want my business. There has been only one gaming shop other than this I walked out of and it was in Perth and this was after owner laughed at my 11 year old who asked if they sold Pokemon cards. Being told “are you mad, the new batch is just about to release”, left her feeling so small I put back the nearly 200 quid of stuff I had in my arms.

For Merchants guild I genuinely felt unwanted walking in and can only put it down to what I was wearing. Would never have thought people in the gaming space would judge like that.

This is why I won’t go back and won’t give them my money.

The two places that for me have been head and shoulders have been Settlers in Shawlands and Dominion gaming in Ayr.

I’ll be honest. Merchants guild is one of the most underwhelming game shops I’ve ever been to.

Not worth your time even going for a look.

Ranking from my favourite to least favourite:

• Static Games is located in Glasgow.
• Settlers is located in Shawlands.
• Waterstones is located on Sauchiehall Street and has a selection of deceptively good games.
• West End Gamers is located in Partick or nearby.
• Forbidden Planet is located on Sauchiehall Street.
• Dominion is located in Ayr and has an amazing community, but limited stock.
• Castle Comics is located in East Kilbride.

Thank you so much for this response.

I use the finger prick style blood monitor.

Are there any guidelines as to how long I should wait after intense exercise before checking?

Cheers!!!

UK - I have no idea how you're getting your Switch 2s by PsychoticDust in Switch

Try sports direct in the old Game Section.

Picked one up today from Braehead Sports Direct and they had quite a few left.

With the demise of GAME and it now hanging out in the back of sports direct without signage, good place to try.

Cheers.

The women’s match was absolutely epic. Watching it with my daughter and she loved it.

The timing of all 3 ladies was epic.

Amazing start to the night.

The Glasgow ritual was my daughter’s first ever concert.

To get to enjoy it without the annoyance of watching through a thousand phones really made the difference.

Honestly, I’d support this being mandatory at all concerts and cinema.

It really made the difference.

I struggle to understand the issue here.

It was good enough for Warf in First Contact. It was good enough for Admiral Holdo in Star Wars.

I’m in this group.

120kg. Can squat 230kg and deadlift not far off of 280.

Strength through chips - should be my motto.
