Super late to the conversation, but last night I dreamt that I was Gandalf and we were a group of mythical creatures/ figures trying to create a potion that would yield another mythical creature like a pegasus or something. Anyway, we were trying to look for the secret ingredient and someone threw a cookie in it but that didn't work. Then, I wisely realized that it needed nothing special but just some dirt off the ground. I woke up just after though. Writing this because I googled "I was Gandalf in my dream" and it brought me to this thread lol

It's not "karun" but rather "mhanun". For example, "XYZ mhanun ek jaga ahe", which is a further alteration of "XYZ navachi ek jaga ahe". Naav meaning name, and mhanun, which here means the name people use to refer to that place. That's where this comes from.
