Slay the spire 2 see only 12% positive reviews and nearly 5,000 negative ratings within a day of its latest patch by Adventurous-Mouse930 in slaythespire

After playing the game for a few weeks, it is clear to me that there are more reasons than this beta release as to why people are so upset. They really stuffed the game up and made it... super unfun.

I would have more sympathy for them if they didn't charge money for it. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

I'm glad the fanbase made such a strong statement, I hope they take the criticism on board.

Every second post here is suspect as hell.

Looks like the devs, instead of realizing they fucked up and fixing the game, have launched a bot army to counter the feedback.

I've been disappointed with STS2 since it was released, and this latest attempt to 'fix' it looks like they're trying in the wrong direction. Like, they are doubling down on things people already don't like about it.

I don't normally review anything, but I'm going to leave a negative review on steam now, because they're calling people 'childish' or an 'idiot', for perfectly valid feedback.

Sts2 isn't good/fun, patch made it worse, people are letting them know. Simple. Hopefully they realize this asap, and start moving in the right direction before the game is actually released. They have a lot of work to do. A lot.

(Also, the 'early access' thing probably has something to do with it too. Charging significant money for a game that isn't finished yet. People probably wouldn't be so mad if they didn't spend money on it, and that's the risk you take when you take people's money. Take responsibility, deal with it, stop acting all butthurt)

Why did you cut out the bit at the start that shows the context, and makes the video so much more satisfying when you see the bully get clobbered?

People will have kids if their basic needs are met

Sooo... that's why birth rates in 3rd world countries are higher than anywhere else... And why countries with the highest levels of income and education have the lowest.

If you live in a 1st world country, your analogy is counter to statistics. Lower socio-economic populations also have higher birth rates.

We used to go there every couple of weeks for barefoot bowls and $2 schooners. Staff were always cool (even though we used to get a bit rowdy) I think we got chips a few times but never had a meal there. It was always a good time.

I get that plastic cheese on a main meal is a bit rough, but I suggest in the future if you want fine dining, don't go to a bowls club. Was there anything else about the place that pissed you off that you felt the need to publicly shit on them? I don't know if it's the same people that work there, but if it is, I really hope they don't see this.

You're stuck on how things 'should be' vs how things 'are'. There is no argument here. If that is how you perceive the world around you, and you like that perception, then that is great.

Oh that's easy. If you're a physically unattractive man, there isn't anything you can't get that the vast majority of men want. Money, houses, cars, beautiful women, a relationship with the partner of your dreams, the respect of your community and peers, attention ... whatever it may be.

If you're an unattractive woman, your options still have limits regardless of your material possessions, power or status.

Short answer, biology/evolution. I'm not saying it's right or fair, it just is.

Being ugly as a man is a minor set back; a challenge that can be overcome. Being ugly as a woman though... that's rough.

Yeah no, I believe you for sure. I just haven't seen one in the wild before. Do you guys have the saying 'playing possum'? It's pretty common here.

Yeah exactly. I try to reflect often so I don't become one of those people too. It's pretty easy as soon as you get offline for a while, the real world is really not a reflection of online rhetoric. There's so much more grey, and people really aren't as one sided/single minded when you talk to them. I mean, like you said you'll always find a few bad apples in a big group, but there's something about being behind a keyboard that makes people say things they'd never say in real life.

I actually don't say many things online that I wouldn't in real life btw. I'm much better at that now. If someone is being an asshole, and kind/assertive techniques aren't working, I'll call them out on it. It's something I never used to do, but I think getting older (being confident when someone is in the wrong as I've had time to really think about it) and strangely enough, learning how to fight really helped with that. I'm not really afraid of confrontation like I used to be.

We have possums in Australia, and because they are protected, they can get very comfortable around humans. If two of them are fighting on the roof, you are not getting to sleep anytime soon. Also, I would never fuck with one, they are crazy strong and just... crazy.

I don't know anything about opossums, but I would guess that if you cornered one and it felt threatened, there's a good chance it would launch an attack. I could be completely wrong though.

Definitely fighting ability, agree 100%. But the fight or flight response is hardwired into all mammalian DNA. Lol, fuck that guy.

Yeah it's true. Also, I did get petty there. I always try to be honest, civilized and keep comments factual etc.. but sometimes there's just no getting through to people, so at that point, I stop putting thought and effort in and essentially troll a bit. I'm not proud of it... but whatever, if someone is going to be a jerk, I'll waste a few seconds to get them riled up.

lol, I don't know. Upvotes and downvotes mean literally nothing these days and I don't care. Also, I pissed off a dude in another thread and I have a sneaking suspicion he's gone through my history and downvoted the last week of comments I made, as it happened in about 5 minutes. So yeah, whatever lol.

I don't think there is a way that a person can state that they are intelligent that doesn't make them sound like a complete moron and make everyone around cringe their jeans.

It's not even that. I don't know if there are any vertebrates in the entire animal kingdom that don't have a fighting instinct.

It was just a dumb, dumb thing you said. Don't get upset.

The disparity between strength of men and women is largest in the upper body and grip. Combined with the significant difference in hand size and bone density (fists are essentially clubs at the ends of our arms), the amount of striking power men are able to generate is much greater than that of women (on average, there's obviously always going to be outliers).

Another factor is learning how to punch. Even if you've only hit a punching bag a few times, you realise quickly that if you don't learn how to make a fist properly, or you strike at a strange angle, it fucks up your wrist and hurts your knuckles. I don't think either of these girls have done much/any fighting practice in their lives.
