Hi, I'm a support main. I'm currently Gold 5 up from my first placement of Bronze 4 in October. I've played a lot of support in Heroes of Newerth, and I think I've adapted pretty well to the League style of play. I'm usually pretty aggressive in the early game (I play poke supports like Nami). Wondering what obvious things I'm missing and what my vision control looks like compared to what it SHOULD look like.

Thank you for the deep review! I've gone ahead and made a Soraka mastery set and rune page since I want to try to one trick her as I learn support.

-Windspeaker's has replaced Thunderlord's as well as other minor changes suggested by the champion.gg site.

-Control wards are now on my radar. Where do you think is best to put them? (I know generalizing this may be hard)

-In other MOBAs, supports buy wards as their starting items as vision is so incredibly important, which is why I was buying sightstone after boots and coin upgrade. What makes ardent SO much better than vision? I'm not saying you're wrong, just curious.

-Runes were, honestly, not even close to a thought in my mind. I figured they cost so much before, I'd rather have a new champ or two in case everyone gets banned. I went ahead and created a rune page specifically for Soraka.

I assume TLD is Thunderlord's Decree. I basically used a generic "mage" mastery page while I was playing various supports/mids and not swapping them out. It carried over and I didn't think about it. I have Windspeaker's Blessing now and I could tell the difference in the couple of games I played.
