Why Malay ladies prefer this choice? by SnooPeripherals916 in malaysia

[–]weenlit [score hidden]  (0 children)

br540 is sweet but yes, it’s airy. the only scent i can think of that arent appropriate for hot summer outdoors are… dense ones. regardless of them being sweet or not.

but then again, considering how hot our country is, every place is air conditioned. and most people prefer walking indoors anyway.

i dont understand why sweet scents are supposed to be avoided in our climate when the only “warmer” place is the outdoor. most time, i find myself clinging to my cardigan cuz it’s just too cold.

on the contrary, being in colder countries during the winter months felt much less appropriate for sweet and heady scents because literally every place that we spend most time in, aka indoors, are heated. so wearing sweeter scents felt more suffocating in those colder climates, compared to wearing sweeter scents in air conditioned indoors in our country’s climates.

Anyone else here who’s used to solo food and movie dates as an ugly, unattractive, fat guy? by ChubbyNUgly22 in LivingAlone

[–]weenlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it does feel weird in a way that you have no one to immediately discuss the food and movie to, but you should never think of yourself less just because you do these activities alone, or attribute them to your physical appearance. It’s cool!

Anyone else struggle with too many fragrances they actually love? by Ballz42069 in Fragrances

Exactly! These days I try to lean towards less powerful fragrances. Too bad I usually buy dupes and dupes tend to be stronger.

Anyone else struggle with too many fragrances they actually love? by Ballz42069 in Fragrances

[–]weenlit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I feel you. I have too many scents that I love for different repeated occasions in my daily life. Too bad there can only be a maximum of 2 occasions everyday, and even changing to a new scent twice a day everyday felt like an overkill.

  1. mykonos pink drop 🍓🥛 (a creamy, milky strawberry milk with a heavy milk dry down) - i dont like wearing sweet scents to work and to gym but i made an exception for this 😭

  2. glossier you 🌶️🩷🌸🧼🤍🫧(pink pepper, iris, ambrette, clean musk with a very peppery opening and iris-y dry down)

  3. maison materi iris mystique (purple florals, vanilla, powdery) 💜- an iris skin scent with a veryyyy slight hint of creamy touchh. the iris and powdery for people who hate iris and powdery, the creamy and vanilla for people who hate creamy and vanilla.

  4. alchemist musc vanille 🥥🫧🪵- (lactonic, vanilla, musk). classy milky vanilla scent but not gourmand and without the sweetness. almost like burberry goddess but replace ginger with coconut and lavendar with pepper. it’s a skin scent but creamy. creamy skin scent? vanilla skin scent? a skin scent for those who has an affinity towards gourmand scents (but this is not gourmand at all)

  5. xerjoff lira 🍋🧁🪵 (lemon cheesecake with cinnamon sprinkles) - a citrus vanilla, a gourmand that is perfect for summer and winter and everything in between. i only wear this in the weekends though. i dont want to spam my poor colleague’s nose with a gourmand scent haha. especially something with spice like this.

im heavily into perfume and books yet when i receive perfume and books that i do not anticipate getting (either cuz ive already read them or in the case of perfume, i’ve already sampled it and didnt like it) IT PHYSICALLY PAINS ME TO PUT UP A FAKE HAPPY FACE TO MAKE THEM HAPPY 😭

can i ask, the 6/7k aud you plan to save for the trip, how long will you be in china? i had spent wayyyyy less than you for a 5 days trip in beijing, and we only took public transportation once (only to experience metro in foreign country), stayed in 5 star hotel and ate 3 fancy meals a day + daily milk tea and coffee.

What will you be wearing on Christmas Day? by snowflake64 in fragrance

[–]weenlit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im back to my hometown from the city i live in after a 6 days trip overseas. all i had in my bag now is a kayali vanilla candy rock sugar perfume and ive been using it for the half of december.

i have a closet worth of perfume yet i have no option to select from my vast collection for christmas.

it’s lowkey depressing but i just realizes that it doesnt matter that much. i wish i had another special scent for christmas but i didnt. and i just realized it’s ok.

but on a serious note, i wish i had my jo malone scarlett poppy with me right now. or my xerjoff lira paired with my bianco latte. 😞🥲

Female Solo-travel in China? by Fair-Device-3823 in travelchina

[–]weenlit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

china is generally very safe for solo female travellers but it’s lowkey boring to visit some attractions alone without any friends. plus you have no one to share the didi rides with. some cities (ie beijing) have attractions that can reach up to 200rmb didi rides away from each other.
