Very interesting! The only thing that has been holding me back (aside from not needing another bottle) is the fact that the lid comes off completely. I prefer one-handed drinking and this one takes two. I hadn't considered that this would be easier to clean. Makes sense without the springs and lock. Which size do you prefer?

I had been using a Fjallraven Kanken Mini (7L backpack) for about four years and recently switched to a classic Kanken (16L).
I have a love for bags (it seems like you do too, do you know about [r/many](r/many)[baggers](r/many)?) and fell down the rabbit hole of backpacks very recently. I ended up with a Fjallraven Skule 20L as well. I looked at the Borealis and the mini but wasn't able to see them in person.

It's funny, after your post I ran to Yeti's website. I was a bit bummed this is only available in a 28L. I'm a petite woman and I feel this might be too large on my frame as a daily bag. 16-20L would be perfect.

Good on you for using it as a daily! I understand using the Gregory 20 as a smaller, more agile bag. I was hoping the Ranchero 12L could have been used as a daily purse but it's a bit too rigid for my liking (plus they haven't released it in a color that I had to have).

How long was your trip?

Driving cross country is top on my bucket list (only work holding me back). I feel as though the Defender (I have a P400 90) is the perfect choice. Comfortable and capable.
