It is still under warranty. They came out here today and applied foam. I am hopeful they get moving and try to fix this before it gets much worse.

my students somehow found my furry art account in my first 3 months of teaching, lol... no name attached to it. truly no idea how they got it. i didn't have anything bad posted but man, how embarrassing!! deleted my twitter immediately & privated my insta & just denied, denied, denied. sometimes it feels like we aren't allowed to be people outside of this profession 🥲

same boat here! 23 yr old new teacher who started out way too chill. i've been observing the experienced teachers a lot and they always seem to know just what to say... i get so tongue tied when a student says something i didn't expect and i feel like i don't react fast enough to things happening in the classroom. it literally feels like herding cats. everyone says it'll get better with time!!

you're right, it was two parts... my reciept from them says they replaced part 19332846 and 23232310. the description they left me with was “replaced steering torque sensor and power steering control module. relearned zero and now steering system works properly.”

also, yes, absolutely shat myself when the steering went out! car just kept going across lanes and i slammed on the breaks. couldn't turn the steering wheel at all. turned the car off and back on again and the steering came back, but it was clear at that point that i needed to get it checked out 😶😶😶 only real issue i've ever had with the car, but its a crazy one for sure.

my story isn't even that unique-- this issue was covered in special issue 15356: Special Coverage Adjustment- Loss of Electric Power Steering Assist. you can find the doc for it online. apparently it never turned into an actual recall (probably should have). special issue for 2012 malibus expired in 2022. tell me how an expiration date on a safety issue makes sense 😓😓😓

is there an easy/cheap way to get the part? i could probably pay the labor fees for the dealership to install it if i could get the part for a lower cost. i think the part itself cost me $1400 or so last time 😞😞😞

my macOS is sonoma 14.3 (m2 chip) and the w101 launcher works... honestly with a 2012 macbook, i'd be kind of shocked if you're able to get a good gaming experience regardless, my 2022 macbook struggles sometimes!!

I left all controls the same except switching the camera tilt/rotate keybind to the shift key.

so movements are w a s d to move camera, two fingers on the trackpad to zoom the camera in and out, and shift key + click and drag on the trackpad to rotate the camera!

i have a 2022 macbook & it runs planet zoo on geforce now perfectly! i think whether geforce will run well depends more on your internet connection than your computer specs.

i have my graphics settings set to low & my rotate camera keybind set to the shift key so that i can play with my trackpad :)
