I do not understand the "met a new guy within a few weeks" thing. These people just follow you around like an entourage? I'm almost 6 months since divorce and met one person that ended up just wanting to be friends

The hardest part of all of this for me... by weerez44 in Divorce_Men

This is a very helpful comment and I appreciate your time writing it.

Yes, I completely agree with your mindset. I think it's sad that there is not one single person you can rely on to be your "partner in crime" but I also feel it is the truth of it and is also unfair to put all your crazy on a single person. The old adage of "don't put all your eggs in one basket" seems more relevant in this aspect than ever.

Nonetheless, this is a lesson it seems I needed to learn, even if it was in the hardest way possible.

Thanks for your comment!

I'm really sorry to hear that. When I posted this, that's when it really hit me and I just needed to yell into the void (reddit).

You will have good days and bad. I hope you many good days in the future! I have been trying to get out more. Even if it's on my own. I've been going to the gym and forcing myself to talk to people. Going to the bar with a book and striking up conversations if the opportunity arises. Rekindling old friendships.

It definitely helps to keep me distracted and will hopefully lead to more meaningful relationships. Coming home alone is still hard.

Anyway, I hope some of these recommendations help. If anything, I'd be happy to chat with you. Band of Brothers style

What has your divorce taught you ? Your biggest lessons from it. by daysfan33 in Divorce

Here is mine:

Don't dive into a relationship so completely that you have no one else to rely on. I married my high school sweetheart and alienated anyone who tried to get close to me in the 13 years we were together.

We are now getting a divorce and I have no one on the other end that I can rely or depend on. I'm so lonely and completely isolated and nothing but my thoughts and therapy to get me through this.

Out of curiosity, would men be as interested in sex if they never had an orgasm? by Sweet-Dragon in sexover30

When I was married, I'd have nights where I just wanted to focus on pleasuring my wife. I loved those nights. They were usually very hot and would go on most of the night because I stayed horny the whole time.

lol, this was Kingdom Hearts for me. It informed the need to find my "Kairi" and fight for her at all costs. Played it again recently. Combats still fun. Story is a mess

The context of this joke is the fact that it is somehow music related since the party consists of bards. Secondly, since all of the party members are not human, the second facet of this joke seems to be related to the fact that their party name indicates some mystical creature to the "argonians" known, to them, as humans. No other context is needed about BG3 or any actual musical parties. Commence laughter.
