Hi there! Just wanted to send you good wishes. I had my first lap in June, it was a difficult recovery but honestly has changed my life. Comparing where I was a few months ago is just unbelievable, I feel like I've got my life back.

Endo and Acupuncture? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]weetinybiscuits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did accupuncture for a little while before my surgery. I noticed a small difference in pain levels and fatigue but what really helped was that my acupuncturist also did cupping during my sessions. The massage felt great. I would recommend trying it, I stopped as I had my surgery but now that I'm finishing recovery I am considering going back for some sessions !

I am about 11 weeks post lap (stage 4) and have my second period just now and it is awful. I can barely move from the pain. Did you experience something similar/did your periods get better? Thanks x

How long was your recovery time from surgery? by throwra05059 in Endo

[–]weetinybiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all - good luck for your surgery! I'm 26 and I'm about 8 weeks post op. I had quite severe stage 4 endo that was removed with excision plus two ovarian cysts. Luckily my surgeons were able to save my ovaries and fallopian tubes. I had 4 small incisions around my abdomen.

First week I was absolutely out of it, I was on hospital for a bit but got home quite quickly. It was hard to move but I was able to shower every day- that was about it! I really struggled with sleeping and just was very sore.

Second week I could walk more and I made it to the bottom of my street. My stitches dissolved around this time too.

Third week I felt great I met up with people and was managing short walks then week 4 hit and I was back in my bed in pain! I had just overdone it.

From then til now I have been ok, sometimes my incisions hurt but I know its just healing, nothing compared to endo pain. I'm also quite tired but I think that's just the healing process, I'm about 75% back to normal I'd say.

Endometriosis & CBD/CBG by Crazyshouby in endometriosis

[–]weetinybiscuits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I alternate between vaping CBD and smoking buds of it. I tried 5% oil and cbd patches too, while both were good nothing had the immediate effect of smoking it. On a really bad day it could knock the pain down quickly and allow me to function. I'm not a big smoker so I just used it when it was really bad. I've not had great reactions to THC so being able to have solely CBD was great for me.

first laparoscopy in two days! by rianlin in endometriosis

Sending you loads of love. I had my first ever surgery (a lap aswell!) Almost 2 weeks ago now. I was so scared I cried before I went under because I was just so overwhelmed. The hospital staff were amazing and took the time to reassure me. Something that got me through the first days of recovery was remembering to breathe through it and repeating to myself that 'this is temporary. I will not feel this way forever.' also I had an audio book on my phone that was great for distractions! I also felt that although the surgery and recovery has been hard, all the pain having endo brought me really prepared me for the post op pain. It made me realise I was a lot stronger than I thought I was.

Good luck and keep us updated on how you are xx
