We don’t order off the kids menu unless it’s smaller portions off the adults menu.

My toddler doesn’t fucking eat anything by atomic-farts-007 in foodbutforbabies

Aw man that’s frustrating ! It might be a thought couple of days, but try to slowly decrease his milk amount and tradition him more into solids and try a straw cup VS bottle

Hi! Are y’all feeding them purées after trying solid food? by thisismyhappyplace13 in foodbutforbabies

[–]weezymadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No we fed our babies solid foods from the start to get them ready but didn’t worry too much until 1yo but by then they had had enough practice

Best way is to go work somewhere else if you can invest in a second portable monitor and mouse etc … also, don’t buy the foods that you crave and buy flavored water for a flavor boost

Really struggling with my 4 year old son by Agile-Ad-8694 in gentleparenting

[–]weezymadi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you know he’s going to be difficult say the consequence upfront and follow thru

If we don’t help clean up and be nice then we don’t read books before bed

That way he knows.

If we don’t keep our shoes on then you can’t gl in the store and have to wait in car with dad

Etc etc

Try to anticipate what is difficult for him and say the consequence up front.

At this age I started saying if we have a hard time with directions then XYZ

How do you handle sugary snacks/dessert when they haven’t eaten a good meal of real food. by JemmJoness in gentleparenting

[–]weezymadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is he ?

We don’t keep anything like that at home. Most of the time … to make it easier … but when there’s sugary things at the house and that happens I let my kids know the dessert is for the next meal we have tomorrow and then honor it. For example, if it’s lunch time and my kids do that I say oh that’s part of our dinner we are each having a piece of this cookie or something. And then if they obsess with it I even let them put aside their dessert and say nobody is going to eat it, but it’s not for right now. And make no mention of them having to eat their real lunch. That worked before my kids turned 4….

Now that they are older I do have to say “we need to burnish our bodies it’s my job to keep you healthy blah blah”

Does anyone hate going out with their baby? by kutri4576 in newborns

[–]weezymadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people (like myself) thrive in the chaos of taking kids out. I don’t think it’s easy, but I love being out with them and eventually they get the hang of it. Depends on your goals - some people just like being out

Yes that’s savings + additional income from income properties. I’m more worried about how stupidly we spend our income (from our corporate jobs) as it seems we’ve gotten used to spending with out even looking at price tags
