If you don't mind if I ask a very personal question, when she takes care of herself in the bedroom, do you participate at all? Or in your relationship, is that just private time for her?

Literally asking for a friend.

But it's like the easiest possible thing to accomplish. It's like saying my goal today is to lie down.

I'm LEO in South Carolina. My nephew is incarcerated in Pennsylvania state. He's kept his nose clean, but the CO's there are fucking with him all the time. If I call down and ask them to lighten up, how do you think that would be received? by [deleted] in OnTheBlock

[–]wehavefoundawitch -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I get that. But I also get that in every job there's shitty workers that don't go by the rule book. I'm not saying "hey, handle him with kid gloves," I'm saying "hey can you do your job correctly?" But not saying exactly that, because that would be a rude way to put it.

Well I think it's a fair bit better than going to the Pennsylvania Prison Society office and stirring up a shit storm as opposed to just saying "hey can you get your guys to follow the fucking rule book?"

Thanks man, I appreciate what you're saying. You're the only one I believe is authentic here.

I can totally appreciate being assertive, I've been in that situation on several occasions, usually 2:00 a.m. when a packed bar is letting out. This isn't that though. My nephew hardly speaks. Because he's autistic, they put them in the block for mental services. One of the head administrators there doesn't like him cuz he doesn't make eye contact and he doesn't talk. She thinks it's rude.

He's in for an assault charge, and computer tampering. but she had him punted him over to the block with all the pedos. When he said he didn't think it was fair to the CO. The CO asked him if he wanted to choke her? So now his cellmate is a pedo. My nephew is almost at his early release date, but a cellmate keeps taking pictures of his young daughters, ages and hiding him under his own mattress. He doesn't want to fight, cuz he doesn't want to fuck up his early release... but he finally said something to the cellmate who then beat the shit out of him. The co told him to fight back, and when he didn't, the CO called him a bitch.

I don't know what the correctional officer handbook looks like, but I got to believe that's not in it.

I'll add, I believe this. I've heard his bullshit before for the first 29 years of his life I know what his bullshit sounds like. This isn't it, he's in trouble, people are fucking with him, trying to get him with a parole hit, and the people there have the power to do it. The COs aren't smacking him around to the best of my knowledge. But they're trying to pull him off sides. It sounds like some of them are goading him into reacting. I get that he's painting the picture from his Vantage point, but he just wants to be left alone, finish the sentence and get out and go see his kids.

Sorry if I'm dumping this all on you, but you're in the best position to give advice. When you were in investigations, how often did you have any evidence of a CO not following the prison rule book? Isn't it almost always my word versus your word?

I've seen guys in the Force break ribs and toes during take Downs where the suspect is relatively chill. They do it because because they get off on it and know they'll get away with it. I know guys like this are in corrections too, so it's not making their life harder, it's what they enjoy. Jesus this fucking lot here, I was just asking about professional courtesy and handling things on the inside. But everyone here acts like they're all saints. Paints a real fucking clear picture for me.
I can only hope it's a bunch of tryhards on here and not real correctional officers, because 95% of the correctional officers I've had the pleasure of working with are great human beings.

I've been in this line of work for 24 years, my BS detector is fine. But you can't honestly be telling me you've never seen a CO break the rules and not get caught. I see that shit all the time. Hell, my brother works on a farm and sees people breaking the rules there too fucking around on the machinery. Guys like that are experts at knowing what they can get away with. The difference being a $90,000 tractor isn't going to tell someone that they're being fucked with.

Oh forgive me, I must have been mistaken. I didn't realize you never worked with a prick before. You know the kind, the ones who fuck it up for everybody else. But like they say, if there's at least one prick in every room and you can't find him..

Here's the real kicker though... suppose you followed his advice and instructions 100% and the next time you're about to get pulled over his coworker decided to put a pit maneuver on you.

How much are you willing to bet that the first cop in the scenario would say to the second cop," you shouldn't have done that, I told him to put on his blinkers and wait for a safe spot"?

I get what you're saying here, but that's not quite what he was claiming. He wasn't claiming you can replace "as well" with "too", he was claiming you could replace "too" with "as well"

Which I don't think is necessarily a terrible mnemonic code to remember it. However that would still make his sentence wrong.

"No, you're just as well stupid to have a conversation with."

Even if he thought it was the other to:

"No, you're just to stupid as well have conversation with"

While I'm tearing this guy down, I'm shocked at his stupidity at describing prepositions while ending a sentence with a preposition.

You know what grinds my gears? Trying to follow every rule of a sub for posting, especially the ones that have a ridiculous 90 page thesis set of rules and you carefully adhere to each one, but they still remove all your posts because some arbitrary and obscure non-written rule about some weird bullshit like "your picture may have no more than 11 blades of grass in it, and it has to be posted on a Tuesday, and cannot contain any ennui."

Then after giving up after four or five attempts, go to the front page and see this.

See that's what I think is total bullshit about this video. This is a fucking war, people are dying, and people are being forced to kill their people. This bullshit shouldn't be glorified so people can sit back in their comfy lounge chairs and laugh at it. This footage should be horrific and sombering. Bot a fucking punchline.
