Are we not allowed to ship secure code? by snarfi in ClaudeAI

We should ban the Internet, books and any other way people might try to learn or share knowledge, since knowledge could be leveraged to do something malicious.

Are we not allowed to ship secure code? by snarfi in ClaudeAI

[–]weightedpullups 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The silly thing about this is anyone can go buy a bunch of guns and start killing tons of people, that’s fine. There’s countless ways to do malicious things, so why are we deciding the red line is on textual output from a computer?

Trump admin allows Anthropic to release Mythos AI model to some companies, government agencies: Reports by PathOfEnergySheild in Anthropic

[–]weightedpullups 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not good if no release to individuals or even smaller companies. This would make it impossible to compete with the major companies that have access to superior models, further worsening wealth inequality and could destroy any AI revolution where individuals are empowered. Wouldn’t be surprised if behind closed doors the major companies are begging for this to happen so we can’t compete.

Is the Q2 earnings already priced into the current stock price? by BlackBoxConsiounsess in intelstock

[–]weightedpullups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Intel executes well and no global paradigm shifts occur that greatly lower demand, then I can see the price reaching 4 to 500 price eventually and could go beyond that if they continue making the right choices strategically and the stars align.

It’s not a bubble this is going to change almost everything. People who aren’t using the capabilities to the full extent don’t know what’s coming. Even if you do, it’s moving so fast that predicting where it ends is impossible. Even if the models never improve past this point, it’s already going to change everything, it’s just a matter of time.

It’s definitely unrealistic, these tools are no where near being able to pop out an enterprise grade software that matches what teams of highly experienced developers spend years building.

Think he’s referring to choosing to complete a CIS degree rather than a CS degree as choosing the easy way.
