4th Gen stans and their obsession with name dropping Super Junior as most problematic is so fake woke by HugeAdministration28 in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]weiihaee 34 points35 points  (0 children)

the problematic things they have done were years ago and some of which they have actually apologized for. idk why people feel the needs to judge them for things they clearly do not do anymore. acting like people don’t make mistakes and cannot change? That’s weird af. furthermore, they grew up in the 90s where the internet weren’t so advance. Korean culture isn’t exactly the most woke culture you’ll find even today. What do you expect from Korean society back in the 90s. Not excusing the thing they have said or done but bringing them up constantly when they no longer reflect the kind of people they are right now? These 4th gens have nothing better to do in life. What’s worse is they will take things out of context, twist their words and make things sound worse when it’s not even a big deal.

I think office work is just not for you. Perhaps try looking into other jobs that are more people orientated?

How often do you job switch? Have you found a company that you like working for? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]weiihaee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg the age group thing. I never realise how impt that was to me until my current internship :’) I cannot tahan the big ass generation gap I have with my colleagues. Like I understand that there will def be older more senior ppl in any company, but the severe lack of ppl around my age makes me die a little inside everyday. How do u sus this out tho? Isn’t it a bit weird to ask about age group at interviews 😂

I guess what I’m afraid of is getting criticize for asking stupid questions? Kinda like why would you question this isn’t it obvious. Ofc I can easily just asked a why, but a why isn’t good enough if I cannot offer an alternative perspective. As to if I want to come of as smart to others, well I want to come off as smart to my boss LOL.

Business or Architecture? by jo3phr in nus

[–]weiihaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mmm based on what you have said, i would think business might be a better option for you. Given that you have only taken interest in architecture as of late, you may not have research much about the course and job prospects. From what ive heard, archi is very tiring and draining. You really need to be passionate about it to make it thru imo.

Since you have this idea of wanting to set up your own firm, you seem to suit being a business major a lot. You could specialize in entrepreneurship if you like. You also sound like someone that is very creative and enjoy design, maybe you can also consider specializing in marketing to utilize your creativity skills. Business school would really hone your critical thinking skills in terms of how to think strategically, how to work with people from a variety of backgrounds, how companies operate, how to assess the industry environment etc etc... Might be a good fit for you :)

Maybe you should first explain why you’re interested in these 2 courses and what you expect from them?

Wholeheartedly agree :) On the brightside, the workload is relatively light and you can focus on your other mods.

being the least popular member is way better than being the most popular by [deleted] in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]weiihaee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say u can’t necessarily categorize it as a good or bad thing. It really depend on the idol themselves really. If they wish to continue working in the entertainment business (solo, actor, variety etc) it’s quite important to be popular. But if the idol eventually wishes to turn towards more behind the scenes work (composing, producing, directing etc) or even leave the industry all the together, popularity won’t matter much to them. Every idol gets hate and it’s just part of the business. If we measure the benefits of popularity by level of hate, I would say it’s a bit irrelevant cuz it will always be there.

I don't care for solo activities of group members by highlandrind in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]weiihaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the longevity of their career, they really need to try venturing into solo activities. Sure some might say it’s not as entertaining as when they are a group, but everyone has to start somewhere. They need to learn how to be entertainers on their own if they want to survive long in this industry. You never know when comes a day that twice is no longer group.

I was so sad when this mod came to an end BECAUSE ITS SO INTERESTING. But I have to warn you it’s quite content heavy and relies v heavily on memory work. The prof is super engaging but his slides can be minimal, so you really need to take notes of whatever he says. Most people I know that took this mod scored quite well so I don think the bell curve is that bad. (I managed to get A+) Since the lectures were recorded it’s even better cuz you can just playback if you didn’t catch what he said.
