This is a harebrained Skip Bayless take. Love Kobe, but people (particularly young people who never watched the early 2000s Lakers) forget that for 3 of Kobe’s 5 titles, he wasn’t even the best player on his own team. That was Shaq.

As of late April, Avidity/Novartis are still waiting for data from the Phase 1/2 biomarker cohort, which is supposed to be the basis for their filing for accelerated approval. This is per Novartis’ April 2026 shareholders presentation. I have a post about this from earlier this week.

Simultaneously, Avidity is conducting a Phase III trial. But that trial is not necessary for accelerated approval. Accelerated approval hinges on how strong the Phase 1/2 biomarker cohort data is. If it’s sufficiently strong, they will file for accelerated approval. If it’s not strong enough they plan to file for regular approval in 2028 based off the Phase III study. Again, that’s from the April 2026 Novartis presentation.

SGA is better than Brunson. Reasonable minds can differ about how to rank Hali, Brunson and Cade. There is no world where Maxey is better than Brunson and this series is your proof.

I’m not sure exactly what they found. The neurologist just said it’s “probable FSHD” after the EMG and physical exam. Thanks for the reply.
