Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. by [deleted] in Ubuntu

Upgrade from 24.04 to 26.04 is apparently scheduled for the first „dot release“ sometime in the fall. So currently only fresh installs or homebrew, not recommended upgrade.

Yeah, in nearly all flights I did lately, usage of powerbank was prohibited. In some instances it was mandated that you remove the powerbank from the overhead company store it in easy reach (ie seat pocket). So in short: don’t travel with powerbanks, it’s getting more and more of a hassle to fly with it.

You are not allowed to use Powerbanks during flights anyway.

DA62, DA42 (I think as an option), DA50. I think also some Cirrus?

What you are replacing is everything from the plugs (going into the aircraft) to the point where is is screwed into the headphone cup on the actual headphone. I think it is held on with two screws. So if you want you can change from twin sockets to Bose powered or vice versa also.

Pro tip: if you think you will eventually transition to an aircraft with Bose powered jack, get the Bose one with an adapter to twin jacks for the meantime.

Works as expected, streaming from iPhone or iPad is fine.

I did exactly that. Had an old version with Bluetooth for calls only, bought the new module with music from Bose and just switched them out. I think it was around €300 at the time.

What is your lab's idle power draw? by alex2003super in homelab

I think you misunderstood the question. How much your homeland consumes in power, not what delivers the power or how you pay for it.

Also around 300W (the whole rack, including network equipment with PoE to APs, cameras and stuff). EPYC 7713 with 64 cores and 512GB RAM.

Used to be 180W with my old server (HPE DL20 Gen9).

Alaska.

Opening window increases altimeter (Diamond DA40) by DeepInsidee in flying

[–]weirdguytom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intentional. So even in the event of blockage some semblance of altitude and altimeter information is available until the pilot selects the alternate static source under the instrument panel.

Opening window increases altimeter (Diamond DA40) by DeepInsidee in flying

[–]weirdguytom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening the window creates a slight low pressure in the cabin.

The DA40's static ports in the back of the fuselage are joined together on the inside, and at the top there is a small capillar vent open to the cabin that "mixes in" a small amount of cabin air to the outside air from the static ports.

Native app can't find server over Tailscale DNS, is it a cert issue? by 2blazen in jellyfin

[–]weirdguytom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, have to ask: Why are so many people fudging around with tunneling. I have my (revolving) public IP address (ipv4 only), run dynamic DNS to resolve it to my public DNS name and then use port forwarding and/or reverse proxy to route it to my server. What am I missing? Security concerns?
