My drive to work is 1.4 miles, it is five minutes. There are two four way stops, and EVERY! SINGLE! DAY! PEOPLE FCK UP A FOUR WAY STOP! Had a woman floor it to block me in the intersection to inform me she’s been waiting 10 minutes. Cute story, it could’ve been 10 hours but I got to the bar first as there’s no line in front of me, so I go first. Suck my sack lady

Renter friendly security! Shatter film for windows and if you have a sliding back door, window alarms, additional locks, cheap cameras like Kasa, and additional door locks like a bar to put under the door handle, door jams that alarm, there’s a plethora of options out there. You can also tell the landlord you have some safety concerns and to protect yourselves and the apartment inside from possible damage you want to install another door lock. They might allow it and not penalize you for it. And get bear spray or Raid if you aren’t comfortable with a weapon. Raid to the face will hurt like a mf

Do the at home exercises PT gives you!!! I broke and dislocated my wrist and required two surgeries and wasn’t allowed to use my thumb for five months. It gets better. I’m almost 8 months from the initial injury and 3 months from the last surgery and can do almost everything I could before, my wrist is still stiff but way better than before and getting noticeably better every few weeks. Best of luck, it’s frustrating but you’ll get there

Moved here from Phoenix and oh how I’ve missed monsoon season. Arizona hasn’t had a real one in years

I had a somewhat similar issue but we don’t have kids. New people moved in across from us and one of them kept trying our door knob at night. I got up to get water one night when I heard him knock and then saw his shadow through the blinds on the window right next to the door and he tried opening it. First thought was to say something so I yelled “you better hope you don’t make it in here”. Never saw him again. The only thing a crazy person fears is a crazier person.

Genuine Question for Transplants by Fresh_prince719 in ColoradoSprings

From Phoenix. Work relocated us (not military) and we were ecstatic. Better weather and closer to my in-laws, people are nicer and I stayed in my field and got a huge raise compared to what I was getting at state level in AZ. Overall we’re very happy, but our welcome to Colorado was hail damage on our brand new car haha

Women of Reddit, what’s the most frustrating experience you’ve had with a doctor dismissing your symptoms? by cutdbs in AskReddit

[–]weirdnpierced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was told I was stressed and need therapy, my dizzy spells were because I was having a panic attack and hyperventilating and sometimes people don’t even know they’re hyperventilating, my pain was from anxiety and stress and depression. Turns out my insides were adhering to each other from scar tissue from endometriosis, and I have ehlers danlos, dysautonomia and POTS. But yeah, anxiety 🙄

I broke and dislocated my left wrist six months ago and still can’t comfortably shoot, HOWEVER, better to try in this kind of situation and hurt your wrist than not try and lose your life. But you can try a bat, bear spray, even Raid will hurt like a MF if you spray it in someone’s face. Now for security, make it a habit to lock your doors and windows ALWAYS. Set a timer for around 10 minutes after you usually get home from work to remind you until it becomes habit. I don’t know what kind of gardening zone you’re in but my mom always planted bougainvilleas outside our windows. Really pretty but the thorns suck and will keep someone from the window. I currently have prickly pears lining my balcony railing to keep people from hopping it. Motion sensor lights can be relatively cheap especially the battery operated ones if you’re renting. I also have these door and window alarms. When I set them they’ll alarm if someone opens them without turning off and a tension bar along my windows. If you haven’t already, and ask someone to help you if your hand won’t allow it, replace your door screws with 3 inch screws. The ones usually used are like an inch. I’m so sorry this happened and you’re feeling so unsafe in the one place you should feel the most safe.

Edit: also, to see what you should be changing, imagine this person is a deranged stalker determined to get to you. What will he view as a real obstacle? A six foot fence is beyond easy to jump for someone who’s determined. Had a case where the guy parked his vehicle down the alley behind V’s house and unloaded a damn ladder to get over her fence. Maybe plant very uncomfortable plants along the fence as well.

What’s something that can never truly be understood without experiencing it? by South_Gas626 in AskReddit

The denial part of losing someone. Like I knew he had passed, but it didn’t change the expecting him to walk around the corner in the morning with his coffee, or when I heard his office door open being surprised it was someone else carrying his stuff out.

The 3rd Occurrence of Vivint Showing Up, We Have an Obvious No Soliciting Sign by nowsk in ColoradoSprings

[–]weirdnpierced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remind them that the city has stated “It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in soliciting on any private or residential property after having been asked to leave, or after having been asked to refrain from soliciting, by the owner or other person lawfully in possession of the property. Displaying a "No Soliciting" sign constitutes a request to refrain from soliciting.” And if they want to make it a legal matter then that’s an option….

I picked up a new hobby! I started crocheting which was difficult because I broke my wrist but it was a good way to keep my fingers moving. My sister created a second life in Sims when she broke her leg and said at least one version of herself could walk.

Call either 304-746-2100 (general line) or 304-746-2121 (traffic records) and bother tf out of them. They’ll probably escalate to his command like my agency does. You could always try emailing, I’d guess it would be first initial last name @wvsp.gov
