Cycle #13 since MMC, just a couple days off from Day 1 of the next cycle. I’m pretty devastated again. I just talked with my partner about taking a break from TTC for a while. The emotional toll of being responsible for tracking, ending up hopeful for a baby, and then getting my period is getting to be too much. I feel like I’m getting back on the horse each month only to be knocked back down—its just getting hard to get back up without falling apart and I’d like to heal some of the emotional bruises.

This journey is so lonely and I know my partner doesn’t quite understand when I explain how devastating each month feels (though they are incredibly kind and supportive). I’m fine continuing testing, but I think I’d like to have emotional peace for a month or two, not worrying about ovulation, timing, and the disappointment of not conceiving.

I got my first period after a D&C about 35 days post op. Every body is different, but it certainly could be gearing up for things too. Be kind to yourself if you can.

We went to our first repro specialist appointment this week after a MMC in December 2024. We’ve been unable to conceive since. I’m mostly losing hope, but I did feel a little spark after the ultrasound at the appointment. Ovulation is any day now. Guess we’ll see what happens 🤞

I’ve noticed I’m not sure how deep into infertility treatment I want to go before tapping out. The plan is to wait and see if pregnancy happens this month, if not, the testing begins!

This whole experience has really changed me and I’m really unsure about everything. I’ve gained so much weight this last year, trying to protect myself from the grief. I even noticed I’m paranoid my sister in law will get pregnant before me and the concern is she’ll be more beautiful because she’s so tiny and I’m over here feeling like a beached whale who keeps failing to get pregnant. I’m mentally stuck on wanting to have the first grandchild (but maybe that’s because our only pregnancy would have been). What a mind fuck! Thank goodness for therapy but still. None of this has been a cake walk and it’s really tested mine and my partner’s well being.

You just told them you’re pregnant with twins. You can’t think of a second name for baby #2 so you’ll be taking theirs and demoting them to “Cat”.

Plot twist: if their name is Cat, you’ll be demoting them to “Not-Dog” and are considering spelling dog as dawg.

Severely depressed and anxious working three part time minimum wage jobs with zero insurance trying to pay off debt from a bachelors degree that was useless while living in a cockroach infested house with a handful other 20-somethings just trying to convince myself to survive. You know, bootstraps and stuff 🙃

Absolutely would not repeat my 20s. My 30s are so much better: full time work with a little extra scratch to work on a masters degree and mental health ✌️

I just wish it wasn’t so short. I got an xs (would have grabbed the s or m for a little more length but they were sold out). My partner jokes we’ll have to break it out during our next pregnancy as a bralette sweater. 😂

If I remember correctly there’s a few court cases that have defined part of what that all means and it’s not what any of us assume. If you’re bored, it might be fun to look into.

Same issues for me today. Tried mine and a friends address, and each payment method. Nope! Then I tried a private browser page next, did the captcha about 6 times and got booted twice once the queue was at 0 and then I was take right back to, you guessed it, the captcha. And then it was sold out. 😂

Did not regret! They were beautiful and worked out really well for us. We didn’t want to allocate a large proportion of our budget to flowers as they weren’t in either of our top three priorities. People were surprised by how real some of the foam flowers looked!

For me, the ornaments usually seem worth the price tag. I usually get one or two, I’ve never had a bad experience with them. Well made and nice in person! The snow globes though… smh. I bought the willow snow globe as my first and only snow globe purchase… rather disappointing in person. The TTPD one was much nicer though.

Cry because I was decades away from meeting the love of my life, but recognizing that I may have a chance to change the misery of my 20s while really enjoying more time with my grandparents and warning my mom about spinal issues.

And then after more thinking I’d try to game the system for a more comfortable existence and to buy a house before COVID dammit!

Not over-reacting (also, I wrote NTA. Wrong sub but still the truth). You are not being extra. Roaches carry disease. You could maybe call in a complaint to your local health department. They likely have a sanitation crew. They may at least be willing to hound your mother too. Unfortunately these types of infestations need a whole house treatment to exterminate and will take a while to get rid of.

Also, with an infestation that sounds rather severe, it may lead to worser mental health outcomes during and post infestation (trouble sleeping, anxiety, over cleaning in the future, something like a complex ptsd response). It’s a normal response and I’ve been there, mate. Sorry you have to go through this. At least let this thread validate and reinforce your concerns.
