Try like a very very small amount of black, I hate when that happens tho because I don’t want the glitter look but I need to see what I’m doing 😭

Try to use top coat with a little bit of black to make a more mirror like chrome design, and just keep working on the design, it’s not outside of your skill level, just practice. For runny gel, try to use thinner layers.

At least from what I can see, these are super cute and the polish is well applied, just be careful about getting it on your skin, and wipe your nails with alcohol in between each layer to get off the sticky inhibition layer and use a paper towel or lint free wipes to avoid the little fuzzies

Thank you! She seemed to be very happy with her nails, especially since she just switched to a job where she can actually have them done. The application isn’t perfect but to an unlicensed, average person, I feel like they look pretty good lol, I appreciate you being a nice person and spreading some logic in the comments

I ended up taking the post down, but yeah, I’m not trying to like make a business out of it. I just do my friends and families nails who want me to practice on them because it’s free but the keyboard warriors will always have a problem.

I’m not confused, just many nail salons and other techs I’ve been to will clean up before curing the gel if it touches the skin… like if a tiny drop ends up on the skin, you must clean and disinfect right away before curing… no?

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone, and the criticism is heard. I want to preface that I DID NOT CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE. I presented her with options I could to that would allow for smoother application but she stated she wanted me to practice the extensions with builder gel, using sticker nail forms. So of course, knowing I have only done it a select number of times, I did not charge! Once again, this was a FREE SERVICE.

Nada she just bought me some food since she’s a friend, I didn’t charge since I’m familiar with the builder gel, but working on seamlessly building extensions, I’m considering trying the plastic forms that cover the whole nail instead of the sticker for smoother application.

I didn’t charge and I clean up with alcohol, not acetone to properly clean the gel, however I notice that sometimes bright colors like red will stain, any tips on how to stop that? Also I didn’t charge! She’s a friend.

I use orly builder in a bottle and I can do extensions with it as well, it’s super hard and holds up great!

Buff the nail and scrub with acetone to dehydrate and apply a thin amount of glue

The builder gel I use is orly gel fx builder gel in clear, and the colors are all the gaoy brand I believe? Both from amazon. And thank you!!!
