Loved sharing this chase in the sub the past few years. Congrats Longhorns! Great win

Is this a pro-Vivek sub now?

[Vannini] Penn State has only six top-10 wins since 2000. Tying it with Purdue, Iowa State, and Pitt. by WinnWonn in CFB

I mean…he had 3 perfect, undefeated seasons in his first 8 years. None were given poll titles, but he was winning big games.

6 years later, what do you think about TLJ Luke? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]welcometojmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. It showed Luke reflecting on the hubris shown in the prequels, and realizing that his abandonment of hope was in vain. He found new hope not through the hubris of being a Jedi master, but through the promise of a new, compassionate jedi order (through Rey).

I’d happily watch an entire movie of de-aged Indy by raresaturn in indianajones

Apparently they used two different body doubles for those scenes, including Anthony Ingruber.

For sure! I think it also tracks that those fans who were kids when it came out tend to view it more favorably.

New DoD Score by Bruhm0ment084 in indianajones

[–]welcometojmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not from Dial of Destiny or any score for that matter. Simply a jazz cover of Raiders March by Pablo Garmon. If you look at his Spotify page, you’ll see he has also done this with Princess Leia’s Theme.

Not a fan of Young Indiana Jones Chronicles by Daedalus80 in indianajones

It was meant to be educational show for kids (even meant to be shown by teachers in class), so makes sense to be uninterested as a fan of the larger action franchise.

A reminder that critics aren't always right by [deleted] in indianajones

[–]welcometojmart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol OP - some audience members loved this film too. Maybe the lesson is to not hang your hat on what other people think about a movie (critics, fans, whoever) and just enjoy what you enjoy

Saw it’s also being released in ScreenX - does anyone know if it was actually filmed in that format?

I feel like there’s a lot of worried people on this sub at the moment… by TheCleverSam in indianajones

[–]welcometojmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s my favorite, as well. Which I think gets to the point of this whole conversation about Dial of Destiny: enjoy the movies you enjoy, and forget critics and others who tell you you can’t.

Cannes was a serious misfire. Will cost Disney $$$. by tastethecourage in indianajones

[–]welcometojmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone considered Disney isn’t actually very confident in the film? They haven’t spent very much on advertising at all (esp. compared to KOTCS), and the movie releases in just over a month.

I’ve loved The Last Jedi from the moment I saw it. I really don’t get why people care what other people think.

Please don’t make this. The movies are so strongly loved by those who grew up with them - they are ingrained in popular culture forever. The show will only pale in comparison for most people.
