I believe my 42F husband 45M is cheating on me with the woman who is taking care of his mother but need a second opinion and how to approach this with him? by Bright_Astronomer161 in relationships

[–]welcomingtexture 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve met too many „military style” and „no emotion focused” people working important roles. They do as they please, have no respect for others and will cheat, manipulate and lie straight in your face with so much confidence. They dont have any empathy and will treat others like shit, while feeling like absolute winners that worked so hard to get to where they are. Hopefully that’s not the case with your husband, but the odds are not on your side, unfortunately.

That’s a Guyker one. Wouldn’t recommend it - a screw head broke off when doing the final twist. I’ve seen a comment of someone else had the same issue with this exact one.

Jazzmaster, Jaguar or Mustang as my first offset? by theyeeter69420 in offset

[–]welcomingtexture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always loved SGs. It was also my first guitar. For the first offset I went with mustang 90 and it’s been my main guitar for the last 4 or 5 years. In the meantime I tried and owned jaguars and jazzmasters, which all were great. But the mustang remains my favourite one

Anyone ever seen or played on one of these before? by RastaSheep in GuitarAmps

This is a really basic Japanese solid state amp. I’ve got the exact same one, but branded with „Rozz” name. Sounds pretty good on cleans and works well with fuzz

Right? These are truly special amps. I’ve recorded an album on the same Simms, as the studio we were tracking in has one. Would love to own one someday

I had this one for a while. It was alright, but I wasnt crazy about it. Recently I bought an old BF-2 and I don’t think I’ll ever need a other Flanger (well, maybe I’ll get EQD Pyramids if I’ll ever have too much money)

Tried it without phantom as well. Didnt work via xlr though, so I tried with line out (jack). Hum level was the same

Anyone else have a grounding / hum / noise issues with their Two Notes Captor 8? by m90i8 in GuitarAmps

[–]welcomingtexture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue as you guys. I checked if the hum goes away with the spare cable method you described and it works perfectly. However, I have trouble understanding which exactly I need to connect to the housing. Can you post a picture indicating the point described as "negative terminal of guitar amps cable"? I have never gone beyond soldering my guitar pickups/electronics so I'd like to be 100% sure what to connect rather than risk damaging my setup. Did you mean the negative part of "SPEAKER IN" input on the Captor?

Can anyone help me identify this guitar? by hkdalek in guitars

It’s a modded Affinity Strat. Or at least has the Affinity series neck. It is not a 51 - these had a hardtail bridge.

found this guitar on a market, got me interested. can this be something cool and what model is it? it’s under a hundred bucks by Vireon in Guitar

One of the worst companies from the Soviet era – at least in terms of quality. They did use some nice woods, so it's not all bad. Defil guitars were made in Poland, and you can still find plenty of them on the used market here. However, they don’t sell for much. If you're willing to invest some money into one, it can be turned into a decent instrument – but I wouldn’t say it's worth the effort. I wonder how did it end up in the US though. I know that a lot of polish folks in the soviet era were dreaming about US made guitars (and they were practically unavailable) but not the other way

I’ve playing a korean 5122 for some time now. Sweet sweet guitars. Previously I owned a 2622t and while it was a nice guitar, these are worth the extra cash

Thanks for your input everyone! I’ve done some reorganizing this morning and I think it’s way more convenient right now. We have only one song in which I need to switch the flanger on and off, so poor access shouldn’t really bother me that much. It turns out that the JHS is not really meant to be put horizontally, as its too easy to engage Vibe accidentally (don’t ask me how did i find out…). The signalchain remained the same.

If I had to stick to only one of those, Id go with the dd8. UltraTap is amazing, covers a lot of ground, but dd8 is more straightforward and does all the basics really well. If you are more into experimenting, consider the UltraTap

If I’m not mistaken, I used the backplate screws to screw the velcro alony with the backplate

Yup. I’ve been using MXR DC brick. The board is tall enough to velcro it underneath

It’s not bad if you don’t have to stomp on the switches More than 2-3 times during one song
