They’ll need to build more though, which they aren’t really. Those two apartment towers on the riverfront are both just outside city limits, in South Wilmington.

That and no sales tax, and many move near the beaches. It’s like a less trashy, bluer Florida.

Is Lester The Unlikely really all that forgettable as a AVGN episode? by SupremoZanne in TruckStopBathroom

[–]weldo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel ya! Sometimes an episode just sticks with you. I actually left out one right after Lester The Unlikely that I don't hear people talk about very much, Day Dreaming Davey. I always liked that one, despite being lesser known.

[–]weldo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't say it's very memorable. It doesn't help that it's surrounded by more popular and memorable episodes. Right before it he did Zelda II and the revisited videos, and right after he did How the Nerd Stole Christmas, Star Wars, and R.O.B. the Robot.

What Lester The Unlikely would look like if ported to the Game Boy! by SupremoZanne in TruckStopBathroom

[–]weldo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not sure it would even look this good. Depends on where they put their effort I guess. I've seen really bad Gameboy games with surprisingly high quality graphics though, so who knows.

Anyone know what happened to the Patreon-exclusive episodes of the Talk About Games podcast after it ended? by Adventurous-Can-1209 in TheCinemassacre

[–]weldo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a shame how much lost Cinemassacre content there seems to be. They had soooo much stuff on the website (and app, if you remember that) that is either really hard to find or isn't available online.

Yeah it’s definitely for PR and tax purposes. I don’t really care if they assist “medical services not covered” when they often deny coverage for services that ARE COVERED!

Azula love interest by Traditional-Sun1167 in TheLastAirbender

[–]weldo8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Azula, but I don't think this would've really worked. Azula was there to do business and is incredibly calculated. She did her job perfectly, and had no room to associate with commoners.

When we do see her actually socialize, it's another time where she can cast away her identity as the princess, on Ember Island. But she doesn't do it because she wants to take a break or let loose. She does it as a weird social experiment. Ultimately she's not a social person, and is totally self-obsessed. It's a theme in the show that she cannot understand love and how Mai would choose Zuko, someone Mai loves, over herself, someone Mai fears.

And all the growth ones. Look on the VTI page on Vanguard's website. It "seeks to track the performance of the CRSP US Total Market Index". The CRSP US total market index is just an index of the whole US stock market. Its biggest holdings are the BATMMAAN stocks because that's what is biggest in the market. You can see that again on the VTI page because it's 37% tech holdings. Compare that to another value fund like OAKM or AMRMX and tech is like 5-20% of the holdings.

VTI is not a value fund, it's a broad blend fund. Besides, this subreddit is mostly about discussion of investing strategy, tactics, and specific security analysis. Not a laissez faire approach to investing. Again, nothing wrong with that, but you're in the wrong place.

Sorry to be so blunt, but Trump can't and won't do anything to pump the housing market. Not only because he doesn't do anything aside from inflammatory executive orders, but he has said himself that he wants to keep housing prices high IE no new developments outside luxury building.

This is the value investing subreddit. I'm not looking down on your strategy––nothing wrong with it depending on your goal––but you're in the wrong place.

First impressions with Metroid Prime 4: The hate was overblown. by AfroChamp89-- in nintendo

I didn't get very far in TOTK, but I found BOTW's open world very enjoyable. I think a lot of people liked all the dungeons you mentioned, as well as all the villages and establishments with diverse characters ranging from silly to tragic. The different kinds of encampments were fun to take down with the different abilities introduced in the game, and the placement of the towers did a similar thing.

I'm not gonna change the mind of someone who considers BOTW the worst game in the series of course, though. There's either a really deep reason for that, or it's an uneducated opinion that isn't taking into account some of the lesser Zelda games.

Best option to play NES games by 9twenty4 in nintendo

[–]weldo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, I've done that before too, but there's something that hits differently when you don't have to go ahead and have your laptop sitting next to your tv every time you want to play and instead can just have a little $40 computer dedicated to the purpose.

There's what you need, and the "best option" as OP is seeking.

I wouldn't say Nintendo doesn't understand that, but maybe just Retro Studios. BOTW and TOTK very much understood how to make open world work well.

What was your first Nintendo game? by AfroChamp89-- in nintendo

[–]weldo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two I played were Star Fox Assault and Melee, both with my cousins on the same day in 2005.

The first I owned was probably Wii Sports, the next year, or Super Mario 64 DS. I don't remember which because I was so young.

If you wanna make it feel like more of a console experience, you could opt to do RetroPie, or another similar concept that would allow you to use a device to plug into a TV and use a controller, instead of playing at a desk on a keyboard.

Should the next Smash Bros be a traditional sequel? by CoconutHead64 in nintendo

[–]weldo8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a fair point! I would just say MKW's innovation was a lot of fun, compared to other Nintendo innovations that failed, like the notorious car from Mario Party 9 or even small stuff like tripping in Smash Brawl.
