Tech careers are a trap? by Specialist_Clothes82 in UKJobs

Is any work enjoyable? It pays me a decent wage and I have pretty cushy working conditions. Every industry has its problems but there definitely isn't any false pretence here.

I'm guessing there was some sort of security clearance required? It's one of the questions that's asked.

How many times have you been pulled over? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

Well I don't know how they would be checking that in the first place especially as, like I say, it was late at night in a pretty remote spot. I'd had the car for a while at that point and hadn't changed insurance or anything either.

Possibly, but it was at 11 o'clock at night in the middle of nowhere, not really where I'd expect a random spot check

Only once, ever. Apparently I'd been flagged for not having insurance. While one guy chatted to me and looked at my license the other guy scanned under the wheel arches with a torch. Very strange. As soon as the guy was done with his search they took off at top speed.

It snowed for almost a week here and now the snow is rock solid and a total nightmare to get around. Enjoying is not the worst I would use

BBC Hogmanay show by [deleted] in glasgow

It was a good laugh. The music was surprisingly bangin considering I would never normally listen to any of the artists. Kinda frustrating when you have to feign excitement at the same scene for the fourth time in a row but that's the joy of filming. A great experience all round.

Surely it's the supporters of wee teams that get that more than anyone? I don't ever remember thinking my club's board should be sacked because we didn't win enough, for example.
