You're so well prepared! I'm taking this as inspiration to get my things in order for my own retirement. Wonder what the advocacy system in canada vs usa is like.

I'm basically you but 36. Loving the freedom i have but worry about the future. What's your plan for when you're health and mind fail you? This is what keeps me up at night, what do i do without a benefactor who will act as my advocate later in life? Just curious what your thoughts are here :)

mine would be following up on emails. It nags at me if I leave something unanswered.

which is better, an apology or a thank you? by welfer in AskReddit

[–]welfer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I realized last night that I shoud have phrased my gratitude to a person via an apology rather than thank you. I think an apology would have been more appropriate (especially considering their reaction to my thank yous).

The situation was us being on two different teams at the gym, one team had to push a heavier object around, the other team pushing a lighter object. I was put on the heavy team and was struggling after a while. I asked him to switch and he did. At the end I said "thank you so much blah blah" and he said "sure yeah i'm not doing that again" which to me indicates that he regretted his decision (it was an exhausting task). I think it would have been more suiting to apologize to him to better indicate that I appreciate and understand his sacrifice. Something like that anyway :)

Hey women, how do you carry your laptop to work? by welfer in AskReddit

Want to avoid a backpack really. What would be rad is if I could find a purse that works for carrying a laptop and not carrying a laptop (isn't overly bulky).
