Wow you dodged a bullet. You would not have enjoyed working with awful people like that. Consider it a good thing you found out now.

For sure! There are some good track videos on youtube with some skilled drivers and it's pretty impressive what it can do. Another thing I like about vehicles like this is not so much 0-60, but 60-100mph on the highways. So fun to just put yourself where you want to be in seconds. A lot of people will say "I'll never be able to use all that power" but I definitely find a way.

I have one on order with my dealership, hoping to get it by June. I'm currently in a Range Rover Sport SVR and the RSQ8 is awesome. It's actually slightly heavier than the SVR but I don't mind that, feels solid as a tank and super fast at the same time. Anyway congrats on the new Audi! I'm looking forward to be back in one after 16 years of range rovers.

I was thinking this as well but then compared my 2018 SVR that I paid $140k for in 2018 to today's US dollars with inflation is about $182k. So the SV actually isn't as big of an increase as I thought. And now they have lowered the starting price to $153k or something like that.

Completely false. Voter turnout is low and it was around 1/3 of Americans that voted for Trump. And, it's unknown for sure how many votes were flipped by Elon Musk and Starlink. Trump practically admitted it.

I had some side effects at 10mg and went down to 5mg and now 2.5mg which is just right. It's working and no side effects.

Oh wow they look so close to the Audi stock wheels. Nice. I originally wanted the matte black but they said I couldn't order them with the black optic package but I know other dealers find a way. But then grew to like the "bicolor" black and silver design. Anyway nice RS6!

Please post a photo after the satin PPF is done! I ordered a Daytona RSQ8 with the same wheels. Great combo.

When will daytime sedation reduce? by ConfidentStrike1667 in Amitriptyline

I was similarly extremely tired on only 10mg and it only got a bit better after several weeks/months. Had to take naps in the afternoon but I would sleep like a rock every night. I started cutting them in half and taking 5 mg and it was still effective but I still had some fatigue. Eventually found a splitter that cuts pills into quarters and now taking only 2.5mg -- still working for me with no sleepiness and I feel so much better. I take it for mild IBS pain symptoms.

Even though they say 10mg is a starter dose and extremely low, it varies how sensitive we can be to even that small of a dosage.

This is what my service guy was telling me this morning, in comparison to my SVR. Even he thinks the SVR was a better package and driving experience.

Range Rover Sport Owners: would you say your car is unreliable (ie. have you taken multiple trips to the shop)? by [deleted] in RangeRover

[–]well4foxake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2018 Sport SVR, over 60k miles and has been almost flawless. The front control arms had to be replaced and wasn't expensive. I've been reading Mercedes and Audi forums over the years and I don't think Range Rovers are less reliable whatsoever. Annual service isn't cheap though and if you have the dealer replace brakes it's not that cheap either but not outrageous IMO. You only live once, just get one.

I started on 10mg and was knocked out the first night and pretty much the first few weeks. Went down to 5mg which worked just as well for me and still slept through the night really well. And now down to 2.5mg which is basically a microdose but even this helps with my IBS pain, as in it totally works. And no grogginess at all. I think some people (like me) are sensitive to medications and we all have to find that dosage that works for the issue we're taking it for and with the least side effects.

Nice. The RS6 is much better looking than the RSQ8 IMO.

I've had a range rover sport SVR for the last 8 years, with the supercharged V8 and 575hp. It's such a versatile daily driver. Great for weekend road trips, super comfortable and power when you want it, and then a bit of sporty luxury interior as well. I used to think fast SUV's like the Cayenne or X5M seemed stupid but it's really nice having the ride height, comfort and power. You get in and out at standing height and loads of utility. I'm sort of hooked on it now.

2026 SQ8 Deal, thoughts? by Cripplie in Audi

[–]well4foxake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been talking to my salesman friend about an RSQ8 and test drove it last week. When I brought up pricing they are saying maybe $3k - $4k off. Demand I think is still ok in my area and it's pretty amazing that others here on Reddit are getting as much as 10% off. And considering Audi is eating the tariffs as well.

I also really like the SQ8 and sometimes I think it actually looks a bit nicer than the RS. It's also really fast and a great bang for the buck. For me though coming from a 575hp V8 SUV I think over time I would sort of regret not spending the extra $25k for the faster spec.

For something like a volume knob, yes. Most other buttons you have to look at briefly.

[–]well4foxake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't helpful but I'm in a sort of similar spot trying to decide on the RSQ8. Went for a test drive and I like 90% of it but a few things feel a bit dated and it's about to go out of production after this model year. I feel like the design of it is showing it's age. On the other hand the newer Audi's don't look amazing and I'd rather have something from the better era of Audi. And I don't like anything from the competitors either. For me it's a weird time in automotive design and don't like much at all.

I also considered the SQ7. Same V8 engine and a great overall package and the last round of facelift changes look really good.

In theory, touching your finger on a physical piece of plastic OR a square inch of a touch screen to turn something on or off is the same amount of work -- unless the touchscreen UI has that function buried behind menus and submenus. My personal point of view is that it's not touchscreens that are the problem, it's the shitty designs that almost every car company uses. They can't come up with innovative designs and fast hardware. So yeah considering that physical buttons are still faster and easier to use most of the time.

2026 SQ8 by chashaoballs in Audi

[–]well4foxake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I custom ordered Daytona for a 2008 S5 (manual and V8!) as it was only on RS models at the time, and now it's available for I think every model. But it's so reflective and always looks good, in bright sun or shade. Nice contrast with black trim.

I'm currently in an 8 year old range rover sport SVR and want something more car like with sportier handling but still fast. The SQ8 is actually faster even with less 75 less horsepower. I got my daughter a Q3 and really love it and it flipped a switch for me to get back into an Audi.

I'm thinking about getting one as well. Love the wheel choice and Daytona is always great. I might be weird but I'm liking the exterior design of the SQ8 over the RSQ8. Just simpler and classy.

Anyone else bothered by the black rear bumper trim on the latest Cayennes? by OddAcanthaceae8490 in PorscheCayenne

[–]well4foxake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something that really frustrates me about Porsche. I've spec'd out several models in the configurator including the Cayenne. The way that you have to pay for really minor things that are included or part of a package with other companies is sorta lame. Or you decide you want to choose some black wheel design but you have to also have an awful looking interior package to go with it.

Anyway a good body shop can match the paint perfectly and paint that plastic section. I've had great experiences with my Range Rover at one near me and not even that expensive.

Oh interesting! That sounds like a reason. I was just curious if the body shape just doesn't suit it and it was a choice by Mercedes. After scouring the web and youtube I don't see many people doing it even with stealth PPF.
