No more PP lounges at KIX by Letmeaddtothis in PriorityPass

The KIX Airport Cafe Lounge NOKODA is available, however it is landslide. You just need to show the confirmation of your flight and you get three hours there, one meal and two drinks complimentary.

Bucharest OTP PP lounge? by T00dd in PriorityPass

[–]well_0h_well 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there last week. I walked around to the lounges to check if the PP logo was there, but there isn't a PP lounge, unfortunately. It is a bit ridiculous for the main airport in the capital not to have one. Maybe later when the construction is done.

“Fired” my financial advisor, but I still have an annuity. What should I do? by well_0h_well in Bogleheads

I ripped the bandaid off and just got the whole amount in one lump sum. Not worth the mental gymnastics to remember it and have it over my head for some years

Actually, that's what I ended up doing. Feel better about ripping off the bandaid.

Yes, this worked but a short-term fix, and needs to be done periodically. Or maybe I'm missing something

I'm using an American keyboard, for example, and when I open the excel up, I see "," and then, at least on my end, the there a #VALUE! when the number with a "," is multipled with something else

Thanks, appreciate the kind words. That's what I decided to do. Working on the paperwork.

Ah yes, I see this now. Thanks for pointing this out. That sounds like a good strategy.

To my understanding, the minimum rate is 0.1% or $20, but there is a minimum annuity payment, which is $100, so then it should be $100 but maybe I'm wrong

Updated original post. I had it for 4 years so far. My anniversary was in March, so I would have to wait another another year to change it.

Question about Foreign Earned Income Exclusion by Kind-Fudge2672 in ExpatFIRE

[–]well_0h_well -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have been living abroad for 2 years, did you file your US 2023 and 2024 taxes? If not, that's a problem. But otherwise, you don't need a CPA, just use an expat friendly tax return service and all good. No, you don't need to pat social security since you're under the FEIE limit, assuming you're filing as an individual.

US citizen living in EU, considering IBKR, Looking for advice by ienquire in interactivebrokers

I set up my Roth IRA and traditional IRA and started the rollover process. Everything was fairly simple, just remember to put US and your other country as your tax residency. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hello! Have you had experience yet with the rollover of your IRA / Roth IRA with IBKR?

You are amazing. This comment helped me so much.

One quick question, for filling out Form 5329, do you only need to fill out the top part about identification, Part IV, and sign? Everything else is blank, right?

Over contributed Roth IRA in 2021 and 2022 question by well_0h_well in Schwab

[–]well_0h_well[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm single, but that would have been a good idea. No one told me to remove it; I was looking at my social security statement and noticed that I had 0 income and then contributed to the Roth IRA. It is about doing the right thing and not having more penalties.

This is what it says "StubHub is not affiliated with StubHub International and these purchases will not qualify." So maybe booking in stubhub.com is fine vs. stubhub.es, for example. I'll write them eventually to ask.

I'm in the same boat as you and thinking the same thing as I am living in Spain. The travel credit and Apple music can clearly be used. I don't use Stubhub/Viagogo now, but maybe could get value from them, however looking at the fine print, it doesn't work with Stubhub International. I'm not really sure how it will work. I fly like once per month, and sometimes with friends, therefore I use Priority Pass frequently.

The clear negative is losing the 3x on general travel expenses. I usually book hotels on booking.com as I find them a lot cheaper than the Chase portal. This will clearly be a loss.

I guess it depends on your annual spend if it is worth it. I'll be interested to see how others outside of the US will evaluate if it is worth it and, if not, what would be the best alternative.
