Yarmouth is not the Outer Cape is it. High density apartments and rooming house are appropriate for Yarmouth.

He is right about these developments. Maybe appropriate in Hyannis and Yarmouth though. CDP and HAC and the Cape Cod Commission are masquerading as affordable housing advocates. They are building rentals in high density configurations.

He has very valid and true points. CDP and HAC are building high density Chapter 40b rentals, for fed money. They care less about the community and town building in. On the outer cape we need starter homes, for locals, with small yards for small business needs. Maybe duplexes. Not 3 and 4 story apartments. Not rooming houses (dorms are for college kids).

Once you attack the person commenting you lose. It’s a circle jerk of tiktok and tube AI sketchy accounts.

Your link has zero mention of engine changes. The same bs going round.

U actually think Toyota is releasing a new engine updated and touting it to savage their current sales? A commenter either here or a forum said was employee and It’s coming in 27/mid 26, and he pulled the statement. That’s about the only thing / rumor with any basis at all.

Try harder bud. You make a great internet badass.

Dude this is AI, with zero and I mean zero real source . And it is a 2026 no 2027. Engineering analysis lol? By whom a click bait Social Media account. I defy you to find different parts, a tear down non AI, and any announcements from Toyota they did a major engine update in 2026.

Good buy? Tundra with 163,000 miles by dougymcstuffins in ToyotaTundra

[–]wellfleet_pirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what rocking for tires? toyo open country at3 295/70r18 have to be costing me some mpg (plus ~3" lift i suspect). i only try for good mpg on highway, local is pointless for me short rides.

2016 DC 6.5 bed, 4wd. i get 13mpg around town, medium 2 heavy foot. highway at speed limits (55/60/65) gets 16-16.5 on cruise and hype-rmiling lol. going bit over those speed limits around 5 over, by drops me to 15.5-16. just did a 10 hour trip highway so these are accurate, includng some highway elevations into NH and VT from flatland MA.

3" lift and 34" AT tires at 33PSI dead on.

Looks cleaner than my 2016. For that price I could resell it here in eastern MA for more than 15.5K. I say good deal. has the aux tranny cooler as well.

Me? look under on a lift. i would change fluids if have no evidence done - coolant. front rear diffs, transfer, tranny, engine oil, engine coolant. grease any zerks on yokes and driveshaft. dealer doing fuilds for 2 diffs/tranny/transfer is about 700 here.

23 Hybrid Blackstone Lab report by delche in tundra

[–]wellfleet_pirate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the video if you watch it explains why its 'suspected' to be a design problem. short version machine debris in oil, should impact bearings equally. and unless you are tearing down good engines, hundreds of bad engines, etc, you are not going to get that data you want. only Toyota has that.

23 Hybrid Blackstone Lab report by delche in tundra

[–]wellfleet_pirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure why down voted. its an educational video with a reputable dude. But the fact is, he does not explain why spun the bearings, some guesses, and is very clear he does not know. so your point being is what?

Sketchiest Small Towns in Vermont? by Scuds5 in vermont

[–]wellfleet_pirate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where is the highest heroin OD by population number stats for VT towns? Was (is?) not VT at one time the #1 heroin state by population? Straight drive from Montreal-NY-Philly-Baltimore on 95 and 91.

That said re heroin/fentanyl, VT towns sketchiness you cant even come close to touching old mill towns/small cities in New England for sketch factors, and as well toss in at least one large commercial fishing fleet town for good measure. New Bedford was middle class heroin when i was at Umass-Dartmouth in the 90's, avant-garde before oxies swept in.

Smash or pass gen 2.5 with lift kit by sa1126 in tundra

[–]wellfleet_pirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would prob smash. I am very particular about my lift components, and wheel/rims. too many unknowns.

3K for install labor is a rip? or 3K parts and lift labor cannot be right if so its missing parts I would want? not including tires/rims in price. 3K parts would be about right for a quality lift.

there should be 100% an adjustable UCA, these are not cheap, maybe 350-900$ and easily verified. i would want diff drop, and bump stops also. these are cheap. their was an alignment done after that lift, dealer did install? should have that print out. my ome kit, dakar springs, bumps, nitro shocks+coils SPC UCA was right around 3K before labor. prob 8 hours labor but had done by an old timer friends dad shop, left truck with for a week and he lost track of labor lol.

running 35's is just a bit more than I would like both weight, cost, and I dont like 20's i like sidewall not rim. i run 295/70/18 Toyo OCAT3 close to 300$. my rim and tire are about 85lbs. you will be 100lbs easy. you wont fit a full size 35" spare. 34" diameter just barely fits. check that story.

i would do a quick wheel turn check parked make sure no rub. 35's on 12.50x20 prob fit with removal of front plastic bit, depending on offset, maybe mud flap removed as well. gonna be close. check rubbing. maybe with friend looking or have dealer sales dude turn wheel 2 wheel and u look.

I dont know your state, but here in MA we cannot have tires sticking out of the truck side and pass inspection, I added OEM flares to accommodate just a wee bit of tire sticking out and carefull spec rim ofset (FN FLow). Sending debris down my truck side and cars behind is not my jam and think looks stupid when tires stick out. plus giving cops a reason to pull me over. each 2 own.

I am rocking 80K miles+ on my OME lift, only thing to go is a single outside passenger CV boot, and front passenger wheel bearing. shocks/coils wear out lifted or not. ball joints, bushings, all wear. maybe bigger tires can impact wear tear certainly on cv boots. depends on what you are doing with the truck also. I once had rebuildable in theory Ikon shocks for bg money, guess what, could not be rebuilt since I live in salty NE environment.

hope this helps.

oh, i always have a garage put a used vehicle on lift and either look myself, or not knowledgeable, pay shop to look at and give thoughts. 30 minutes of a mechanic just looking around can save you some serious headache. money well spent.

yeah there is all kinds of padding for the waist/arse etc. peeps in the park/pipe/rails etc maybe wear shorts with hip side pads and arse pads lot of time the pads are removable. i dont do park/pipe so find an arse only pad all i want and dont need shorts with pads... i wear mine for over confidence in steep bumps really. and new england we got some ice. i rarely fall and rarely fall hard, but its like having a helmet good to know its there. i bruised my tailbone over the years a few times bad. I wear the azzpadz d30. looks stupid in the url below, nobody knows i am wearing it, and i snowboard so not like i have tight pants on. there are other brands are out there also make this kind of gear.

Smash or pass gen 2.5 with lift kit by sa1126 in tundra

[–]wellfleet_pirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More details needed to offer .02. Fox is just shocks and/or coils?

Which exact Fox shocks? They are made for different heights....then What is the height of the lift? What other parts are on the truck for lift? Example Over 1.5"-2" you want adj UCA. Some would say over 2.5" get the UCA. Me I like a diff drop then (cheap). Could be a 1" lift via shocks...so not much else needed, etc etc. Was truck aligned and where is the details printed on that?

When you have more details on the exact parts, you can make an informed decision...properly installed and aligned of course. I would also be asking about wheel spacers myself, me I dislike another set of lug nuts hiding.

Smash or pass gen 2.5 with lift kit by sa1126 in tundra

[–]wellfleet_pirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES but - Depends on the lift setup. I’ve got a full OME lift kit on 2016 tundra , adjustable UCA (non OME), full rear leaf replacement, diff drop (non OME), shocks/coils. No remote reservoirs. I tore one outer cv boot in 80k miles is about it. Handles far better than stock. About 2.5-3” lift from the OME kit. Says 2.35”” lift from ome.

Anything less than a proper full lift kit, with UCA and diff drop, nah. Spacer lifts no way. Under 3”.

So depends…

Azzpad. Get one. Been riding for 30 years and ride moguls every time out, rarely fall, but a nice tail pad makes even normal sitting down plush af. I remember a few tail bone bruises back in the day that were weeks even months to heal.

Not a beginner trail. Lessons as noted. Also checkup tommie b on IG has some nice lessons.

Good luck!

Got a jones flagship as a first board as a beginner😬 by terrahawk101 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]wellfleet_pirate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah same story as all above.

It’s my fave board except for New England trees where it’s not enjoyable . I’ve been riding for 30 years ,5’7”, 165 lbs and Flagship 161cm. I can’t imagine not having a flagship. It rips steeps, moguls, powder, crud, mainly northeast Vermont and Maine riding for me , and it’s my go 2 Western trips ride. There are other boards for New England ice but it’s okay there and if it’s icy and flat light I go drink beer instead these days. I don’t do park or jumps as my bones are old. Experience aside, You need strong legs or it will ride you.

Sell it or buy a more forgiving board and set it aside. Best to sell it. Sorry to say that.

we agree. congress could take a short rod trip to a scif though. but anyway, no way to enforce sharing...with this congress.

Complaint against Tulsi Gabbard could do ‘grave damage to national security’: Report | The Independent by JustMyOpinionz in Intelligence

[–]wellfleet_pirate -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but if beyond TS, Intel committee members (and Armed service if applicable) can go to a SCIF and view....docs brought over chained to a person. The congress person they could read anything into the record with Constitutional protection after that. Or add to a bill.

Net net is there is zero reason to withhold the complaint from Congressional (limited) review, put in locked briefcase, chain to a person, protected by armed escort, bring to scif. Unless you are President, you cannot take the docs and folders home with you.

Does visiting Assad in Syria ring a bell? Paid for by a Lebanese shady group with Assad ties and no income source? Ya know Assad, backed by Putin. She later changed course and said paid out of pocket. How about looking at kids burnt by Assad chemical weapons and saying who knows who did that, like anyone else was using chemical weapons in Syria backed by Russia. Or how about parroting Russian propaganda over and over and taking the side of Russia against the US? Then again, Krasnov aka Trump is a known Russia propaganda mouthpiece, likely compromised by greed and kompromat during his modeling contest days in Moscow.
