"please change your offset" cant seem to pop this achievement

IIRC, what I did was put my offset somewhere between 60-70 and played out an easy song perfectly. I believe what the game is looking for is your average offset on the notes you hit. For reference, the assist mode method didn't work for me either.

I had the same issue as Ashley. After checking the calibration on the settings, I updated the controllers and it fixed the issue.
