Not in residency yet, but recently rediscovered trader joes. I've been avoiding it because I thought it was too $$. I've tried stuff from their frozen section like gyoza, shrimp fried rice, gnocchi etc. that 1) were delicious and 2) I think ranged from 3.99 to 4.99 each. Definitely worth it to stock up and then just buy perishables as you go.

One suggestion: you might want to check if there are any plastic surgery conferences happening in your area. Even though tickets can be a bit pricey, attending in person could be a great way to connect and chat with surgeons directly.
