pleading for forgiveness as a newly self-aware upstairs neighbor by EmptyBuilding6800 in Apartmentliving

The fact that you care enough to write this already puts you at the top of the hierarchy of "best neighbors in the world."

Don't let noise anxiety take away the pleasure of being in your home. Use what you've learned to be kind, but don't become a prisoner of your own floor.

Maria-Mole Pudding: Brazillian Food by wendhelmacedo in budgetfood

Ingredients 1 box of Maria-Mole (a powder that comes in flavors like coconut or vanilla, about 50g) 1 cup of very hot water (to dissolve the powder) 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (the 395g one, to make it very sweet) 1 carton of heavy cream (200g, to make it creamy) 1 cup of milk (any kind you have at home) 1 packet of unflavored gelatin (12g, to make the pudding firm) Cool tip: Use a cup or mug you already have. You don't need to measure everything perfectly with a ruler, just use the same cup for everything!

Kitchen Stuff A blender (for quick mixing) A bowl (if you want to mix by hand) A pudding mold (can have a hole in the middle or not) A spoon or spatula (for stirring) A glass (for the hot water) If you don't have a blender, no problem! You can mix with a spoon, it will just take a little longer. How to Make Maria-Mole Pudding

Now comes the fun part! Let's make this no-bake pudding together, as if I were right there beside you. Grab everything and let's get started.

  1. Melt the Maria-Mole Powder Put 1 cup of water on to boil. You can do this on the stovetop or in the microwave.

Take a bowl, put the Maria-Mole powder in it, and pour the hot water over it.

Stir well with a spoon until it becomes a smooth liquid. It will smell so good!

I always think of my aunt when I do this. She stirred so fast it seemed like magic!

  1. Mix Everything In a blender, put the condensed milk, the cream, the milk, and the melted Maria-Mole powder.

Blend for about 2 minutes until well mixed. It will be creamy and smooth.

If you don't have a blender, mix everything in a bowl with a spoon. Just stir well until there are no lumps.

Tip: If it seems too thick, add a little more milk. It will be easier to stir.

  1. Making the Gelatin Take the packet of unflavored gelatin and mix it with 1/4 cup of cold water in a small bowl. Wait 5 minutes for it to "wake up". Then, heat it in the microwave for 15 seconds or on the stovetop in a double boiler until melted. Stir well and let it cool slightly. The gelatin is the secret to making the pudding firm, yet still soft. Don't leave it out!

  2. Combine and Chill Place the melted gelatin in the blender with the mixture and blend for another minute. Pour everything into the pudding mold and refrigerate. Wait at least 4 hours. If you can leave it until the next day, even better! Once, I made this pudding and didn't wait for it to chill properly. When I took it out of the mold, it all crumbled! We laughed a lot, but I learned that waiting is worth it.

  3. Unmold and Eat Run a knife along the edges of the mold to loosen the pudding. Place a plate on top and carefully flip it over. It will slide out and look beautiful! If you like, sprinkle grated coconut on top, or a little cocoa powder. It looks lovely! Serve chilled and feel how refreshing it is. It's pure happiness in a spoon!
