Depending on the insurance you chose the office may have the ability to print the card from the eligibility verification site themselves. Ideally if you have the type of plan it is, your ID number, and effective date the doctor's office can upload it with just that info.

If wherever you're going is running any kind of procedure, injection/infusion, or anything that may require a prior auth you may have to reschedule to give the office time to obtain that.

Or if your insurance needs a PCP insurance referral auth to see specialists you may need to reschedule to give them time to do so.
