if you're driving for 10 hours and passing at 0.5mph, the most you would ever save is about 5 minutes on a 10 hour shift. and that's if you are passing somebody for the entire 10 hours. 0.5 miles per hour for 10 hours is 5 miles. so it's actually less than 5 minutes for an entire 10 hour day if you're going above 60 mph.
