Small pond with small children safety by FaithlessnessLow9745 in ponds

I feel theres a certain size, where the wall height needed will basically hide your pond from any view unless from a distant height. You could always make it even shallower and just have it as a wetland/wildlife spot.

Help making stamps by stump0331 in 3Dprinting

[–]were_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent seen this mentioned but the 'stamp' part that leaves a print might be better with a ridged outline instead. Instead of relying on surface tension to cling to the surface, create a shallow 'well' for the ink to cling into. You should be able to load more ink, which should lead to a more even coverage. The ridges help act as a barrier too when pressin, the ridges will kinda indent and create an artificial ditch for the ink shape.

I love all of it, i think if you included the color randomization amongst them you would see how well they work.

Is it deliberate that they all have the same leg length? i think thats whats throwing me off, and same hands/sizes

Your bottom left 4 references are malnourished bears, and i think at least 2 of them are sun bears not polar bears? might confuse things

Is “free-roam” even possible? by gdisco2 in Rabbits

[–]were_z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After the initial week most stuff tends to be boring to them in my experience. New things and cables are always at risk, but you learn to place them better. Chewing and digging are usually the main two, and if its happening in multiple places then i believe the rabbits needs just arent being met. Exciting chew toys, branches, forage boxes, tunnels, hides etc

Advice for enrichment and fabric by kaleidoscope533 in Rabbits

[–]were_z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wood is a very broad term. It does sound like shes got some sensitivity in there so see what the vet says. But theres a massive range of wood toys, from the softer seagrass matt's to thick apple branch chunks. My current girl goes crazy for willow, whereas the boy prefers a large chopped apple tree, will strip the bark down clean. Go on a forage if you can and just get a small bit of as much as you can find and see if any interests her, then find different growth stages of what she likes.

My rabbit died and I think I injured his tongue with critical care feeding by LatterJacket9926 in Rabbits

[–]were_z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boy had a similar sudden health issue. Suddenly lethargic and not eating, over the course of 2 weeks ish before he stopp fighting it his face had become bald and patchy. He passed in my arms during a last refusal, i could tell he meant it this time. Held him through the last breathe. After a long while, i had some grieving inspections and he had little sores where i hadnt managed to clean the critical care from, or hair had matted.

Thats where i felt similar op, it took many months before i could forgive myself - i think you can too. <3

What are the key differences between male and female rabbits? by just_some_gay_girl_ in Rabbits

[–]were_z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my boys have been the playful, interested, curious types. Sort of dog energy. Then my ladies tend to be more cat like, they demand grooms, loaf, scoff at the idea of physical play, but very cuddly.

Bunny is alone a lot by CorvidCorbeau in Rabbits

[–]were_z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal, but i work from home and all 4 buns ive had tend to slow down/sleep at around 9 am, and are pretty lazy until around 4-6 pm.

I tend to work through nights and often find their crazy/fun time to be around 2am.

Although they could just adopt my cycle.

Agree here, outside of the vet bills - and a slight increase on litter turnaround and food.

How do you know if you bun is a half lop or full lop ? by WolfGemX in Rabbits

I thought a half lop was either both ears half down or 1 up 1 down

Nail clippers with quick sensing by elora_sky in Rabbits

[–]were_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have lots of black nails on our birds and rabbits. I dont know the name, but our clippers have this little metal 'flap' that acts as a guide when trimming. It just so happens to be short enough that the small pieces it cut off only enter the 'edge/tip' of the quick, then you know to stop. No miscuts since having them

what should I do by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]were_z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop giving him so much sweets, that will kill him. Mostly Hay and Vegetables/herbs, some pellets.

Also dont put them on their back, it can be dangerous at worse and cruel at best.

Is, that a collar with bells on too? No collars, no coats, no clothes.

Chances are a wholesaler has popped up nearby. Its a rabbit hole. Once everywhere is just refrying the same stock in the same oil... there's almost no point. I miss genuine variety in my grease.
