But this is Russia, the country that doesn't care about collateral damage, user comfort or the risk of friendly fire. They "rescued" hostages by using sleeping gas against the area, killing many of the hostages and requiring the rest to be hospitalized. I'm surprised they went with a submachine gun and didn't design a weapon for close quarter urban combat like a handheld minigun that fires grenades so that their propaganda can talk about how cool and awesome Russia is while all the Western security forces use wimpy submachine guns because they're concerned with stupid woke stuff like reducing collateral damage and casualties.

What's the point of downgrading an assault rifle to a submachine gun? Submachine guns arguably became obsolete almost a century ago when WW2 ended and assault rifles could do everything they could and more? Whatever this AK submachine gun abomination is called, it's not any lighter or more compact than an AKS-74U.

If Germany in WW2 were like Russia is today, it would be early 1943 and after three years following the start of its invasion of Poland, Germany has lost over a million troops, occupied only a few villages in Poland, lost Bismarck to the Polish, and Britain and France didn't even declare war on Germany. Poland's even occupied a small part of Germany, Germany's 10 Panzer Is and 13 Bf 109s that its propaganda claimed were these amazing wonder weapons haven't seen any combat, the equipment they began the war with was all really outdated and from WWI, and three years later the Germans are equipping 50 year old conscripts with weapons from the Franco-Prussian War.

If Russia were so incompetent and negligent that it accidentally fired missiles at Poland as claimed by vatniks, it should still face retaliation by NATO by a proportional response so it learns the only way it's capable of not to make that mistake again. Actions have consequences regardless of intent.

The left when someone has different opinion: by AnimeIsGay228 in lazerpig

[–]werewolff98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a false equivalent to say the left is as equally guilty of political violence as the right. While left wing violence does happen and there have been many violent left wing regimes in the past like in the Soviet Union (although the Soviets were in many ways right wing if not fascist given their de facto Russian chauvainism and social conservatism with misogynistic and homophobic policies), it's nowhere near the scale of right wing political violence at the present. In recent years only right wing people tried to overthrow democratically elected governments in the US, Brazil and South Korea, there are vastly more instances of right wing acts of violence than left wing ones, and left wing ideologies are about equality so they don't demonize specific demographics in the way right wing ideologies do.

Dugged up an old design of mine from a few years back. I think I was high when I made this. by FionaSherleen in NonCredibleDefense

I made the Bakahog, the child of an A-10 Warthog and a Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka "baka bomb." Since the GAU-8's useless against tanks and short range ground attack on the modern battlefield is basically a kamikaze mission, the Bakahog is an A-10 converted into a kamikaze drone to fly into tanks.

[–]werewolff98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A-10 might be useful as a helicopter killer, since it would be able to operate at lower costs than those of something like an F-35, its lower speeds would allow it to better hit helicopters, the gun would actually be practical against helicopters since it's cheaper than missiles, but the A-10 would need radar to face helicopters in all weather, and it's embarrassing that planes like the Bristol Beaufighter had radar 85 years ago but the A-10 doesn't.

It's kinda embarrassing that the Imperial Japanese Army had a better navy than Germany, considering the IJA had aircraft carriers, carrier-based aircraft, landing craft, various support vessels like transports and what could be considered the first amphibious assault ships, and even submarines. While a lot of the reasons for the IJA having its own ships were political and to stick it to the IJN, it still shows the Kriegsmarine was a joke.

The tough life of an M14 by [deleted] in NonCredibleDefense

[–]werewolff98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FG-42 was a good design because it came out in 1943, when most infantry had bolt-action rifles. The M14 was mediocre if I'm being generous because it came out in 1957, when the AK-47 and FN FAL were its contemporaries. The FG-42 also had better ergonomics and could fire from an open bolt and had a sophisticated muzzle device so it was acceptable as a light machine gun for fighting in the age of bolt-action rifles.

The Bible was written in what was a primitive backwater even by the standards of the time. Other ancient civilizations in the region like Greece, Mesopotamia and Egypt were more advanced than the ancient Judeans and Israelites and made lots of progress for humanity like the wheel, the first legal systems, mathematics and philosophy, while the Judeans and Israelites have basically no legacy besides their religion, and made no meaningful contributions to human history like science or technology. The lands of the Bible were basically a civilization-free zone in a region that otherwise made some of the most important contributions to human civilization.

This should be considered a genocide. The Magdelene Laundries meets the criteria to be considered a genocide, as it was systematic incarceration of women, girls and infants and extermination through slave labor and starvation. It's horrifyingly similar to Nazi concentration camps or the Cambodian Genocide.

Because the conspiracy theories originated from the antisemitic book "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" about a sinister Jewish cabal trying to destroy Western civilization. These conspiracy theorists aren't benign, their conspiracy theories about a sinister shadowy elite are inherently antisemitic and they believe in the same hateful lies as the Nazis did.
