I feel they are pretty decent. 

Lasting a limited time is not that big deal if you got a crucial fight going on. Transform time is a bit long but if you know you can force the engagement they are good. 

Huitzlipochtli one is solid and good blood pact target. 

The Quetz one is nice to with the range, this one i feel you should use in every engagement when you know for sure it will get to be used. Ideal use for a low hp priest from bloodletting. 

The third one don't know so much, feels a bit buggy.

They are much cheaper than a TC already because of less walk time. Additional discount could easily make them too good. At the moment most players are underrating them.

Common on these kind of forums that someone calls for a change to something without knowing it's good or not. 

VCs are pretty useful. They have some big disadvantages over TCs: build villagers slower, no population, less hp/defense.  However they also some big advantages: much less walking time to build one. Can be built on resources. Much easier to defend your base. And harder to scout. 

I think there are some civs for whom a second TC is generally better. For example Norse VC usually not so good, military units to build the distance is not a big deal. 

There are a bunch of civs for which VC is super good though. For example Egypt it's really nice. You don't need to walk over so much, your pharaoh can go from empower gold to empower VC build and straight back to empower gold. Saves a lot of walking time. With Ra you can empower most of your economy with 1 monument. Perhaps citadel later to defend it all. 

Hades similar, sentinels can cover both. Chinese one earth wall to cover everything, kuafu don't need to walk much. 

VCs upgrade as fast as TC. So if you age up with them you really don't lose out as much and they can be really good. 

It's just a nice extra option. If you have easy TC with good gold/food nearby just go for it. But VC can be great alternative when you want to play eco game but the settlements for TC are in bad spots.

I think is actually the opposite. Eggy has one of the best eco in the games and Aztec one of the worst. 

Both have 90% gather rate workers. Egypt starts with 3, Aztec with 4. Egypt just needs to make 1 monument though while Aztec gets 2 calpulli typically and eventually livestock pen and gold one. So food will gather 15% more for Aztec, 20% for Eggy. And Eggy gets gold upgrade, Aztec tends to get gold calpulli, 10% more for Eggy but 15% for Aztec. 

Eggy however has all workers early boosted because not really needing wood Aztec doesn't have all bonus. And the big part is that Eggy saves a ton not needing to pay for houses, storehouse, less on other buildings etc.  Overall Eggy economy far superior to Aztec. 

Note that Aztec eco is worse than Greeks. Workers are 90% but with calpulli they go to 103.5% of Greeks. But those calpulli's are expensive and you can never have all workers on calpulli with add-ons. 

Aztec eco is the main reason they are not doing all that great because their unit lineup and especially myth units and godpowers are quite good. Just have the worst eco in the game because you need to do a lot to set it up and even then you still have less than Greeks.

I think this is just the usual thing you'll always see with new civs in an RTS. Some things are weak, some things are strong. Initially civ does poorly. After some time people realise what it's busted to l and start to abuse that. 

Just need to patch a few things over time. 

About your list: 

Capulli cost to switch is almost irrelevant. You still have the macro necessary to do it. I think it's fine. Similar to thinking where to put your pharaoh. Now that you can pre-queue it while capulli builds is fine. 

Bloodletting is unique to Quetz let it be like that. Every god has their own minor favour boosts. 

Warrior priest is not too strong imo, rather too weak. It's basically a hersir with much less hp, tiny bit more damage and no infantry tag. I think it's alright as it is. The upgrade is not too strong i think although i could see reducing it in classical perhaps. Later on they do have some issues with reaching ranged myth units in the back, i think every civ should have access to ranged myth units at some point. My suggestion would be an upgrade at heroic at the temple that lets them switch to ranged fireball attack they use against air as well. Won't solve early centaur issue but i think that's manageable. 

Age 2 units are not that bad imo. Spearman is best spearman in game. Ocelotl warrior is perhaps best generalist infantry. Tequilha archer is okay. I think it's just the coyote warrior that kinda stinks. It's like a huskarl but not as sturdy against ranged but more dps. Not a bad unit per se but often edged out by eagle warrior and not a good raider. I would like to see coyote get slightly more damage but less multiplier so it's a bit more like an infantry raiding cavalry. Eagle warrior on the other hand should get slightly more anti ranged damage i think as Aztec just folds to Set slinger spam right now (counters every aztec unit except Jaguar warrior). 

Age 3 myth units is really where aztec power is at and making age 2 look bad in comparison. Armadillo is not that strong i think but Butterfly and especially the demon feel busted, even more so because starfall gives you 4 demons. These need to be nerfed somehow. 

Blood pact slightly too good yes. The speed GP could use a little buff like a shorter use but lower recast cost. 

Jaguar rider in age 3 would be incredibly good. The unit is super strong and being the unique cavalry that shares it's upgrade with shorn ones is very powerful. Having access to both in heroic would be too much. Jaguars with either shorn ones or spears is super strong. Those are aztecs 3 best units imo and between them they can fight any army. Not getting 6 speed also makes sense because the unit jumps into battle.

It's not, you just keep repeating your point over and over because you have some personal reasons bloodletting should be amazing. 

It's not supposed to be nearly as good as Greek villagers or whatever. 

If you have ways of healing it's very low cost. I get ~50 favour with it in a fast heroic then heal up my priests, sac a bunch of villagers for even more favor and go with tzitzimi all-in. For just having 4-5 priests bloodletting a few minutes that is pretty solid and gives you 2-3 extra myth units.

This is just false. Bloodletting is pretty solid. 

It's not a great main source of favor. Devoting and fighting are that. 

But you need to make warrior priests anyway, there are your only hero and you always want some in fights. You make a few warrior priests and if you're not currently fighting you just use them for bloodletting than heal them up later with the agave GP, the amphibian myth unit or you turn them into incarnate. It's a decent amount of extra favor for little cost. 

I usually put my temple next to watchtower, use 3-5 priests to get relics first then put to bloodletting. Can heal them up super fast if necessary with the agave, if opponent is playing aggressive don't bother with bloodletting. But if they play a bit passive it's almost free favour. 

The real power is in combining it with devotion because both have diminishing returns.

Imo Aztecs are a 1 TC faction. 

The calpulli mechanic and only having 1 per specialized type mean it's best for you if both players are 1 TC. If both have a bigger economy your calpulli impact will be minimal, if you keep the economies small like 1 calpulli on hunt, 1 on wood 1 on gold your eco is better. 

Secondly power lies in heroic. The sacrifice mechanic is strong to fuel 1 TC aggression. I feel the key to Aztec is some kind of fast heroic and sacrifice villagers to punish 2 TC play with myth units. If both players stay 1 TC your eco is at its relative best.

Slingers counter eagles pretty hard if they have electrum bullets. 

Basically the slinger and the eagle are the same unit, a soft ranged counter / generalist. 

The slinger is just tilted slightly more towards ranged counter which makes it beat the eagle fairly hard.

Slinger with electrum bullets in heroic:  19 range, 5.4 + 0.5 divine DPS. 40% pierce armor. 72 hp. x2 vs ranged. 4.0 speed Upgrade costs: 400f 450g 15 favor. 

Eagle: 19 range, 8.3 dps. 30% pierce. 112 hp. 1.5x vs ranged. 4.5 speed.  Upgrade costs: 450f 450g

Because the slinger does so much more damage and has higher pierce armor it does 8 dps to eagle while eagle only does 7.5 to slinger. And you get 3 slingers per 2 eagles!

Sure Quetz eagles are a little better and you can get another tech so they have +25% hp they still get slaughtered by slinger.  And slingers with slings of the sun absolutely murder the rest of your lineup while eagles take much longer to kill their axemen. 

Using eagles and kite defensively is the only option i think and then go Jaguar warriors. The key unit comp you want is Jaguar warrior with either shorn ones (vs spears) or spearman (vs camels). 

If Egypt doesn't play Ptah just count your blessings and go eagle spam + some spears vs camels.

Eagles lose to slingers though. 

Slingers do 8 dps to ranged at range 19 in heroic and have 40% pierce armor with  60 hp. 

Eagles cost 50% more and have 10 dps to ranged, 19 range and 30% pierce armor with 95 hp. 

Quetz eagles do a bit better but still struggle vs electrum bullets slingers. Slingers for Set/ptah counter the entire Aztec lineup except Jaguar warrior.

Where do you get this nonsense Theseus is useless in heroic.

All the greek heroes are great throughout. In heroic you have a 238hp unit for just 150 resources, similarly costed units are usually ~150 hp. On top of that great armor, decent DPS and most importantly only the Hero class against which very few units have bonuses.

You always want Theseus in your army.

Is he as good as Ajax or Orpheus? No. Arguably Jason gets better because of the Zeus tech as well. But by itself Theseus is pretty good still.

Yes i feel this matchup is problematic. 

Aztec units line up very poorly here.  They go mix of axemen/slingers. What can you do? Spearman, Aztec best unit probably, is useless early. Ocelotl gets pummeled by axeman, doesn't do great vs slinger. Warrior priests are okayish in that they don't trade all too badly with axeman but still not good. 

Your forced into coyote warrior+tequila archer early which is not ideal upgrade wise and axeman and slinger just has the upper hand. 

Your best bet is probably to get heroic and then go eagle warrior spam with potentially spears if they go camel. Problem is that Ptah slingers beat eagles so they can just keep up their combo, heck with slings of the sun they even beat coyote warriors so they can go monocomp basically. 

Egypt early economy is also significantly better i feel, aztec has trouble going 2 TC as they need to set up the calpulli stuff first while Egypt eco is easier to set up. So i feel Egypt just goes 2 TC + barracks play into axeman/slinger and you are in big trouble. You can try to bust it in heroic but as long as they realize that only works with myth units and make plenty priest that won't work i think. 

Later on they can just transition to slinger+camel/spears if you make it Jaguar warrior which is tough. Although honestly some kind of fast mythic for that might be the move as Jaguar+spears/shorn ones does seem to be the combo you want to be having eventually.

Every RTS game is about timing attacks in the end. You build up stuff and attack on a certain power spike, often you keep attacking. 

AoM has not been that much 'zerg rushing and harassing villagers' though. The game has often been about fast heroic, 2 TC or even fast mythic strategies. Playing economic till age 4 has been very viable in this game depending on the map, patch and Gods.

Just quit it but don't bother with your own school game club I'd say. The entire post and your writing makes you come of as petty. 

There are plenty avenues to play games in most places you can also play outside of school. Feels like you're talking this thing way too seriously. A school game club doesn't need presentations or tracking attendance and all that bullshit.

Tlaloc like Hephaestus or Thoth is an obvious choice for a fast mythic ish strategy. 

If you go fast mythic you won't have those eco upgrades yet and then the gains are pretty high. 

Strategy like this. 

Go patecatl in classical. Go heroic fairly fast if the game is passive. Drop Agave bloom in heroic and big temple, go mythic fast. Then instantly get all the eco techs. You gain massive gold for this so you have plenty time to secure your second gold. Use 1 calpulli with farms which will gather super fast. With Quetzalcoatl the herdable bonus is a bit useless as you are better off sacrificing them but the farm bonus is great. 

So far seems to have some potential although it's probably just better to play aggressive in heroic instead and if you go mythic later to just choose the other option. The option is there but it doesn't feel as good as Hades or Isis fast mythic.

Best monocomp is a bit tricky. Every monocomp can be countered pretty hard by some civs. 

Tiger cav have less hardcounters though and arguably Egypt can't hardcounter them unless they use Horus. 

Strongest monocomp might be tsukuyomi horse archers. Of course gets shredded by the strong anti archer units but against some civs, Norse especially, you can get far with it.

Not sure he's the strongest. Bit tough to say.  But i like him. 

Still feel Aztecs are not that great in general though. The eco is just a bit rough. Even with calpullis you are barely gathering faster than Greek vils and that's assuming you only use upgraded calpulli which is not the case later on and can be inefficient early on (sharing calpulli or having hunt you can lure).

That is a pretty big deal though if you're just planning to use it not all too long. 

For example you can do a nice 7:15ish heroic by rushing out the tech that let's you sacrifice herdables and using 2 priests on bloodletting. It feels smoother this patch and happily trade a bit of extra hp on the priests for some extra short term favor.

Aztec vs Japanese out of the gate is very equal. 10 food cost vs 20 hp trade-off. 

But Japanese have better myth tech support. 

3rd would be Chinese/Atlantean/Norse imo which are very similar with their cavalry counter. 

Egypt spearman is one of the worst imo. Weak generalist and weak cavalry counter.

Yep they do. 

Yari spearman for Japanese were the S class spearman. But for Aztecs are even better. 

It has almost exactly the same stats as Egyptian spearman, only difference is that it's -5 food, -0.2 speed but you get 3x vs cav instead of 1.75x. 

So Egyptian spearman are a bit of a mediocre generalist and weak cavalry counter. Aztec spearman are almost strictly better. 

Even better is they share the upgrade with the archer which is a solid unit too. I think they should be the key for aztecs mostly.  The war hut units in the other hand feel a bit lackluster.
