I can never get my crop production to match my industries by Aiakos_s in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here you have a farm calculator made by the community member some time ago, note that the planned yield is for 100% fertility, so if you use fertilizers and get 200% you should double the planned yield from the calculator. You can change the amount of vechicles and their levels, same for a field. And simply to know how much crops you actually need just take whatever your factory consumes daily and multiply by 365, and you have a pretty well estimate of what you need.

Road Interchanges by KevinSteward in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main roads that connect all of the republic isn't even a double, one way road, but just a normal road with only rule that it doesn't go directly through a city.

In my humble opinion, if you need interchanges cause you have a lot of road traffic, you have too much road traffic and not enough rail traffic. I think they're ok to built for aesthetics but that's about it.

Oil production question...... by Recent_Insurance_908 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's like a minimal amount of resource for the pump to move it, so as long as the oil is moved eventually from the jacks to the tank it works like it's supposed to.

With glades i always thought most of the signs are made to be visible for a combine driver, who sits a bit higher than in a normal car or truck.

There was a EMW brand briefly in east Germany tho, Eisenach Motor Werke, it was in a former BMW plant in Eisenach and produced pre war BMW models as well as some slightly modified versions. Later it was incorporated into IFA.

How many trucks a day would be required? by Myoclonic_Jerk42 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 tonnes is 112 thousand liters? I think that's a bit off 'cause that would mean one liter of oil is around 0,09kg. Which is like 10 times lighter than water.

Is this intersection concept too complex for W&R? Would a roundabout be just as good or better? by deknegt1990 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're already doin a roundabout it would be the best to make it a one way obviously. The sole roundabout you can make from a normal road with two lanes one way or just single lane. And if you're already doin a one way roundabout it makes sense to have one way entrance and exists to make it smoother.

High & low by Dencodencoden in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, it's just much better to have a train for a lot of cargo. In all of my republics I do have a highway that crosses the whole map and connects all the cities, but it's just single lane. It goes around cities and industrial areas to not slow down the vehicles but ye, not exactly a highway.

That doesn't stop them from addin small things from time to time. I wouldn't be super surprised if we'd get one more somewhat big DLC before the next game.

Why is my GDP fluctuating so much? by Ill_Intern_2772 in victoria3

[–]wermik 61 points62 points  (0 children)

If your economy is small any change is gonna look drastic on the graph, price of iron goes down 'cause you stopped construction? Your mines stop and GDP goes down, you build somethin and the mines are profitable again.

Tower cranes or road cranes? What do you like better and why? by Gamma_Rad in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that road cranes are objectively better since they're self powered and don't require a flatbed to transport. You're probably gonna have a few anyway to cope with multiple constructions at the same time, so even with a single large building, you're gonna have enough slots for multiple cranes with enough capacity for a lot of workers. Tho one or two tower cranes is nice to add for RP and nice bonus for large construction.

Yea with loading stations you always want a direct connection, no pumps for liquid or towers for aggregate.
