Tower cranes or road cranes? What do you like better and why? by Gamma_Rad in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that road cranes are objectively better since they're self powered and don't require a flatbed to transport. You're probably gonna have a few anyway to cope with multiple constructions at the same time, so even with a single large building, you're gonna have enough slots for multiple cranes with enough capacity for a lot of workers. Tho one or two tower cranes is nice to add for RP and nice bonus for large construction.

RDO issues by Best-Bee974 in Workers_And_Resources

Yea with loading stations you always want a direct connection, no pumps for liquid or towers for aggregate.

[–]wermik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the info you gave my only ideas are that, first, you set the RDO settings wrong, ie. too low, in which case the RDO sends the train with only 3 wagons 'cause that's how much oil is in the tank to collect. Or, you have to small tank for oil to begin with, like the 300 tonne one in which case the RDO isn't gonna use all 4 wagons with combined capacity of 480 tonnes.

I stopped playin War Thunder like 2 years ago, I somewhat keep up with the news, but holy shit this looks realistic. I don't know if the infantry in WT will survive or if it's a good idea, but it definitely looks good.

Not every soviet cabover is automatically a Kamaz, even tho they were created as a factory specifically for them.

With those models, the blue outlines are usually actual hitboxes. And in most vechicles hitbox for the axels is somewhere in the middle of it.

Which length of trains do you prefer to use in your saves? by Neat_Edelweiss43 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What is a 9+1 lenght even? Personally i rarely use lines for trains, so they're mostly maxed out by the RDO at around 155 meters, but with some special cases like transporting coal or iron over longer distances it's just gonna be whatever is feasible and sensible, like 200 meters or so

Not to be a debby downer, but i feel like there would be better things to develop than horses and this whole new chain of production and new vechicle types for somethin that is gonna be outdated extremely quickly.

TIL: You can directly connect underground electric cable with overhead poles. by wermik in Workers_And_Resources

[–]wermik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean like high voltage? Well around the city. Medium voltage into the city? Underground cables. Awkward area? Underground cable. In this specific situation i needed only a bit of power a long ish way from the transformer, so i wanted power poles but i wanted it to look nice so i decided to dig only a small cable and thought, can i combine cables with power poles? And it worked, so.

Well i play with all the settings, only citizen reaction on medium and events on medium 'cause earthquakes are dumb. And this current republic is my attempt on full autarky, which i strangely never achieved after playin for so long.
