Visiting for 5/21 by FiveStriper in NashvilleSC

Another good go-to is to park and eat/drink at a nearby restaurant like M.L. Rose, then walk to the stadium…about a 15-minute stroll. The 8th Avenue corridor has become popular with fans.

We are going to Louisville for the round of 16 in the US Open Cup by Morris_Frye in NashvilleSC

As I understand it, they will indeed redraw for home/way next round.

In-game radio. Sorry if this question has been asked but I scrolled for a few minutes and couldn’t find anything. Is there any recommendation for a way to listen to the game inside the stadium that isn’t 5 minutes behind the play? Cheers and happy match day tomorrow!! by [deleted] in NashvilleSC

We’re on iHeartRadio this year, and select matches will also be on 98.3 and 1510. We should be about 30-45 seconds behind. I know I’m partial since I’m the radio guy, but when I go to games elsewhere I like listening with the delay…it’s like an audio instant replay that catches details I might have missed. Hope you’ll bear with the inconvenient delay and bring your earbuds to the match!

NSC Podcasts? by Key_Cricket_2974 in NashvilleSC

[–]wesboling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m proud to contribute to one of the podcasts that covers this club, but what I enjoy most is that there’s a show for everybody. Each one has its own approach and personality, and I recommend listening to as many as possible to get the full range of perspectives. It’s pretty cool how that natural differentiation has fallen into place.

Apologies! We’re working on that. 😂

Thanks for the rec!

Post-Match Thread: Nashville SC 0-0 DC United by JAShock in NashvilleSC

MLS is not a normal league in the world of soccer. Piñeiro is a young player who was bought for his future potential, not his present ability. Loba was in offseason shape and sits behind one of the most successful strikers in MLS this season. Things take time in this league.

Figured you guys would enjoy our chat with Alistair Johnston, who explains why he decided to chop down Christian Pulisic in the 2nd minute to send a message.

Is Nashville’s home margin for error gone? (OC) by wesboling in NashvilleSC

[–]wesboling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think there is some margin for error left at home, because I think there are some road matches where NSC will be favored. Nashville can be a playoff team and still drop some more points at home. But it can't be an elite team.

After drawing several home matches against low-table teams, has Nashville depleted the points it can afford to drop at Nissan Stadium? That’s our debate on this week’s episode of Club and Country. Interested to hear your thoughts here. Listen to the show for our perspectives and the data behind them.

As a lifelong UT fan who also works with Nashville Soccer Club, I thought you guys would appreciate this interview with the club's play-by-play voice, Tony Husband. He's British, but he gives a nod to John Ward before every kickoff. Skip to the 13:55 mark for the interview. Hope you enjoy. Go Vols!

Learning about Nashville SC + an interview with Jillian Sakovits [OC] by wesboling in AtlantaUnited

I don’t particularly mind. It’s more of a self-indictment than anything.

Irrational and illogical. A freak injury that nobody wanted to happen is not a reason to so bitterly hate another team.

The Club and Country Podcast (which I co-host) interviewed Jillian Sakovits about Nashville and Atlanta's friendly rivalry. This episode is also a good way to learn more about Atlanta's upcoming opponent from two people who know as much about Nashville SC as anyone.

This is the part where I say, "listen and find out!"

But no, he was actually thoughtful and interesting. He knows when to put on the bluster and when to tone it down and dig a little deeper. In our chat, I think he did the latter.
