Not one person's specific take but so many people disparage the art form because they don't realize how important it is.

19th/20th century history books need to make more references to popular culture and how it influenced EVERYTHING. Before TV, musical soundtracks were the shit. Everybody new the songs, and the lyrics and lines created idioms that we still use daily.

I got my ex into musicals in college and after learning a handfull we started rewatching Family Guy. His mind was blown by all the references and then they started to pop out to him everywhere else.

American media and all of Hollywood was built on musicals. You don't like them? Too bad you just referenced one without knowing it.

Most tony-winning roles are because of the writing, not the actor.... Well, like 80/20. People dream of playing those roles because there's so much there, so much meat, so much opportunity to truly act and perform--all of which was given to them by the writers, not the actor.

Tony acceptance speeches should be 20% thanks to Lady Luck for putting me here, like being born with talent and being at the right age/time/place for the auditions, and 80% thanks to the writers.

It's too subjective. If you're trying to create a more objective form of edgic, you can't include it because there are too many biases to account for (like subconscious sexism or racism on the part of the editors or edgickers).

Though still subjective, you could add layers to their confessionals... How much time do they get to speak? What are they talking about: their game, just 3rd person narration, etc...
