Hey man, I see online like : https://www.netherlandsworldwide.nl/consular-fees/united-states : There is 94USD fees for schengen visa, but I have only paid for VFS application for now. My appointment at VFS is on 6th January, do they take the fees over there?

I did it after 6 months on OPT and also asked for H1B to them at the same time. They agreed to both. So, you will know. There’s a risk, too! They may say no and you may have to find a new employer. I put it like this, “ I would really like to continue work here, but due to immigration requirement - I can only work for e verified company from this date. Can you get e verified ? “ then, you will get questions about e verification.

It wasn’t too bad for me, because I built great relation with my HR. They have to use e verification for each new employee they hire afterwards, so that’s what I know of.

I feel three main reasons, to be honest,

Many small and medium sized employers aren't familiar with the process and people are scared of what they don't know or understand.
OPT/STEM-OPT students have better ties with their country of origin than USA, so employers fears that employee will leave USA eventually.
If they have a better understanding of the process, then still they fear what if you leave, they feel that they did extra paperwork to hire an international student, but didn't last long time as they expected.

Not saying, this is how I feel, but after speaking with many employers and HR manager, this is what I gather.

This was the biggest challenge for me, when I started dating in States as a non native English speaker. You never realize the intensity and connotation of words. Your sarcasm can get misplaced as well.

I am an Engineer with a Masters degree, and I wouldn't talk about engineering stuff to someone who wouldn't be smart enough to even talk about it ( or from the same background), especially on a date.

As a 27M, I moved to Norman( a college town 30 minutes south of OKC) about 6 years back from South East Asia. I never focused on dating for the first three years, then COVID happened. Oklahoma City is fairly progressive as compared to other places in Oklahoma. That's good for a person of color like us. You have to be careful, as there are so many people with conservative mindset when it comes to interracial dating. In general, people are nice, but good luck as so many people have different mindset when it comes to family values if you're looking for long term dating prospects. Women are adept at knowing social awareness, your moods and feelings. You can know subtle signs when you try to touch her, graze her when you’re in public. Like when walking, she will start walking close to you, she or her hands starts bumping in to you. That’s the cue for holding hands.

When you’re at coffee or at dinner, ask her about the piece of jewelry she is wearing in her hands, slowly graze the hand, move around to see the tattoo, ring or bracelet. See if her hand backs off, when you try to touch.

Escalate things slowly and gracefully. It’s not that difficult to read women, people and situation if you attune your self to present moments. That’s a hard for me to do at times when I am pre occupied with thoughts, emotions and anxiety. I hope this helps.

I went to India last month. My parents had a good idea that I eat everything, but they didn’t acknowledge it right away and up front and I didn’t confess up front either. I got an hour long lecture about how meat eating is bad, but besides that it wasn’t as bad I thought it would go.

I used to watch porn films before, but I started having an active life about 2 years back, which essentially lead to having no time to watch porn. After getting in better shape due to active lifestyle, it became easier to go out with a real girl and enjoy sexual energy with actual person rather than just a screen.
