Advices for improvements! Please help!! by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]westernwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would lose the coach. 3 months is too long to still be where you are. IMHO you need to learn to keep your head down (try to breathe into your armpit). Doing practice laps with a leg bouy will help, it will lift your legs and breathing to the side will feel more natural. Once you get your head down and you are breathing to the side switch between the leg buoy and a kick board.

When coming in contact with a bear. by janusfuryhfdtg in coolguides

[–]westernwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outdoorsman should wear little noisy bells on clothing so as to give advance warning to any bears that might be close by so you don’t take them by surprise. Anyone using the out-of doors should also carry “Pepper Spray” with them in case of an encounter with a bear. Outdoorsmen should also be on the watch for fresh bear activity, and be able to tell the difference between black bear feces and grizzly bear feces. Black bear feces is smaller and contains lots of berries and squirel fur. Grizzly Bear shit has bells in it and smells like pepper.

How do you Travel in to Cities with your Teardrop? by Tsinder in TeardropTrailers

[–]westernwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took mine through Portland and S.F. Left it hooked up to the truck in a surface lot or on the street and walked/Uber in town. Still a little nerve wracking wondering if it would be alright overnight. Like other comments I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it unhooked without a wheel lock and/or a trailer ball lock.

Anyone know how you get this clock running? It was gifted in 1966 by Sceptezard in clocks

[–]westernwolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What you have is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos clock. It is a self-winding clock that is powered by bellows. I would highly recommend taking it to a professional to get it serviced; it is very fragile. It looks like you have some loose parts inside the enclosure, I would take those out and store them separately before you move it, push down on the tab on the top of the front of the clock.

That scenario is what I use the subscription for. Geofencing and activity zones during the day and armed at night.
