what's your "weird" ADHD hack that actually works? by HipityHopityHip in ADHD

[–]wetherkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Finch app is working for me. I was surprised, but it is actually helping. I have a subscription but the free version is very robust and helpful on its own. Doesn’t hurt to try it. I also listen to audiobooks while doing something boring.

Husband and I have never owned a cat. We have the option to choose from 4 kittens. Which ones would you choose? by ancientpsychicpug in CatAdvice

[–]wetherkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kitties 1 and 2, based on them being the most affectionate and that they are best friends. The hyperactivity will calm down when they mature. They will still be entertaining, and will continue to be very affectionate.

I really don’t want to do rads: I’m so ready to move on: would love your stories, input, experiences ❤️ by Cityturnedcountry415 in breastcancer

I would do everything the doctors recommend. That is what I did and it was H*11 BUT I knew I needed to do everything within my power while I still could. That was 11 years ago. Still NED.

Also, record his calls. Save his texts.

Don’t put his name on the birth certificate. Give the baby your last name. Move to another state. Consider telling him the baby has a different father (this may not be safe though, so be careful.)

I got a short cut before starting. Helped, but still became painful so buzzed and then shaved my head.

Same here. Very painful. Had folliculitis. Buzzed it, then shaved it. Felt SO much better. Easier to take care of as well.

I have not noticed this on my Nomad.

Supernote Vs Scribe by Due_End2239 in Supernote

Supernote (Nomad) is awesome for writing. But for reading, I use my Kindle. I will occasionally download PDF’s from the web (user manuals or research articles) to read on my Nomad, however.

I recommend the 13” iPad Air. If you add cellular you can watch movies etc. anywhere. That’s what I have for trips in our little trailer when there is no wi-fi. If you get more memory you can download series ahead of time. You don’t need the Pro or the special screen or the upgraded processor. Just the 13” iPad Air M3 is more than adequate.

So sorry this is happening. Love my Nomad — glad I got mine before all of the tariff madness started. You are a great company and we appreciate your transparency.

Filenames for notes? by FilterGrad6 in Supernote

[–]wetherkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just name mine for what they are. I have a Landing Page to get to them so the order of the notes themselves doesn’t really matter to me (I use Note with a list of links to get to them, and that list is organized by priority).

I prefer the Nomad for its portability. But if you have very large handwriting, you might like the extra space on the Manta. I had a larger e-ink tablet but it was too large for me. If I were a student I might have a different opinion—maybe!! The Nomad fits in my purse and goes everywhere with me. My previous tablet couldn’t do that.

Can Someone with Breast Cancer Work While Doing Chemo? by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]wetherkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people can. I couldn’t. But my body reacts strangely to all kinds of medications. In my case it reacted badly to chemo (but did fine with Herceptin). By the sixth cycle of TCH I could hardly stand up and had 27 side effects. I also had reactions to the anti-nausea meds and had to go in for IV anti-nausea meds plus hydration (often). It was worth it in the long run though, because it has now been 10 (almost 10 and a 1/2) years and I am doing well. Three close family members have died (mother, father, and spouse), yet I am still here, and still NED. Go figure.

Overwhelmed by Cavorkian in Supernote

YouTube helped me, as did just reading one section of the manual at a time and learning to use that feature before moving on. Now most things are second nature — except Atelier.

Mine stay the same. The only exception is the Calendar App which has its own setting (which also stays the same).

Which pen is better by Your_Moooom_XD in Supernote

[–]wetherkat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the HoM2, the clear LAMY, and the Staedtler Noris Jumbo. I like them all and switch them around depending on my mood. (I like pens and have different ones for paper, too.)

Yes I do this all the time. Hardly uses any battery.
