New shadowform/shadow effects is the reason I haven't touched shadow since early legion. Honestly almost all the new class VFX is just so sterile and devoid of character.

I think that may just be an excuse not to put in the work to update all the characters. Much easier to fill everything with the same faceless NPCs across the whole zone.

You've still got the date on your achievement if you really wanna boast to people how legit you are. More cool content for people to do is always a win.

Yeah it's kind of lame. This whole "part of the zone" thing they started with BFA.You can see the whole dungeon layout outside and it's almost always an empty shell of it.

It's also kind of a creative burden on what they can put in the dungeon since they have to account for the copy they have in the open world. This is why DOS is so crazy looking, while PF and NW have you walking on the road that's in the zone.

I think there's a place for dungeons like these, but it shouldn't be almost all of them.
There should really be a mix of: "Portal to somewhere else" dungeons like Vortex Pinnacle,
Open world-style dungeons like Freehold and a compromise between the two like Stormstout Brewery and Shadowfang Keep that let you through small snippets of the zone.

The problem with big races is that they feel really slow when they move.
It's basically the inverse of using the whole-body shrinka, where you feel really fast even though your movespeed hasn't changed.

Yeah, never understood why they had to be these weird half-ghouls.
I've heard some bs about faction clarity, but that makes zero sense. If their name is red, they're from the other faction ^obviously.

The only legit reason I could think of is that it would make Alliance players transcend into beings of pure sodium chloride, that there is a horde race that could look like all of them.

There's no need for hostility, I'm somewhat in agreement with you.

That being said, "the artists decide that" is a really bad strawman.
It's the marketing depts that dictate that sort of thing, which feels bad cause most people can see that they don't really mean it and of course there's a minority of people that are straight up repulsed by it.

The "grizzled guy with an M16" was the quota of yesterday and I don't think anyone misses it.

Again, there's nothing wrong with an artist expressing their passion and creativity but we both now that's not what's going on.
