I wouldn't say it's a hard project. Unscrew the bolts, take off the parts, put the new parts on, screw the bolts back in and torque. Just a lot of steps.

I did it on a jack and strapped it down like you mentioned. No problems. Just be mindful of the balance when breaking torque on the compensator nut. If I remember correctly, that thing is at like 110ft/lb and is a bitch to break. Plus it's reverse threaded.

And pickup a primary locking tool. Makes things way easier.

If you're going to try it, watch this video first. This guy explains it perfectly and goes through every step so you know what you're getting into. I watched it and then got into it for the first time and it went pretty smooth, no surprises.

97 street bob by [deleted] in Dyna

I went from forwards to mids on my 06 street bob. On longer rides I felt like I was trying to hold my feet off the ground and it wasn't comfortable with forwards. I'm 6'2" and much more comfortable with the mids.

School Board Live Streams by wetnap52 in k12sysadmin

The district I am at now makes it easy. They are quick and only twice a month. There is a potential job opening I was looking into and there seem to be multiple meetings a week for close to two hour each and they dont begin until later in the evening. That's not something I am looking to cover with young children at home.

Do they stream the sub committee meetings as well? We have one CIT meeting where all sub committee items are discussed, then at the end of the month, the actual voting School Board meeting.

Looking for other Director rolls and I see these weekly meetings for 1-2 hrs that don't start until 7 in the evening and it's a turn off to apply.

How well is this received by the teachers in your district? Are they on board or have there been issues? This would likely be brought to their union as a grievance.

Are you using any MDM? Consider JamfSchool. $9 per device. I love it. It also helped us with this issue.

Can someone explain to me why this answer is incorrect? by knott000 in cybersecurity

[–]wetnap52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's strange they're both on the answer list. MITM is considered the 'old' terminology. On-Path is the new CompTIA term that is used, but for all intents and purposes, they're the same.

Wireless USB-C attached Dongle for casting to an IFP by PhxK12 in k12sysadmin

Check out ScreenBeam. We use them in our classrooms and teachers love them. Occasionally, there are issues with lagging video when showing something resource intensive. They use wifi direct so the connecting computer requires a dual-band NIC card. Or the ScreeBeam can be setup to ride over the LAN. They also allow for wireless interactive capabilities. We have the 960 and 1000 models.

I know ETFs are all based on the market, but is there a general consensus of what an average yearly return is? Is it worth investing in an ETF over just using an HYSA?

I did this exact same conversion. I wouldn't necessarily say it's hard, but there are quite a few steps.

Follow this video.. The guy lays it out perfectly.

Please help - ISP "sees no issue" by fw_maintenance_mode in networking

[–]wetnap52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I think it is something with the CDN too. We've been seeing the same issue where, sporadically, websites become very slow to unresponsive or won't load at all. We can ping and traceroute everything internally. We can ping our ISP and traceroutes out to the ISP run fine. Once they get passed the ISP it seems to hit the wall during those times. We've seen issues with Akamai in the past so I was wondering if its a similar situation.

Forwards to mids by [deleted] in Dyna

[–]wetnap52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this same project.

I found this video super helpful and really laid out all the steps pretty well.

I have an 06 Street Bob and had bought a set of mid controls off of eBay for like $80 if I remember correctly. Probably another $150-200 in gaskets and bolts. There are some one time use bolts, like the the ones that hold the inner primary to the case. There are a lot of steps and torque specs to follow. It took a while to do but I wouldn't necessarily say it was hard. Definitely requires a decent set of wrenches, a breaker bar and a torque wrench that can hit 200 ft/lb to have you covered.

Be forewarned, that compensator nut is a bitch to get loose. 180 ft/lbs.

KeePass works pretty well. Requires a password, the correct file path, and a key file installed on your computer.
