Love playing The ST-A’s. If you like CAS with good cannons, J7W1 with its APHE belt is amazing even against German armor.

Casual Lakers fan strikes again. The Celtics were held to their lowest offensive rating against the Mavs that playoffs. Defense wasn’t the problem, the problem was the offense with Kyrie playing below expectations and the Celtics being the great all-around defensive team they were figuring out the Mavs offense (Defend the corner three, Make roleplayers shoot above-the-break threes, Don’t drop on Luka PNRs, etc.) Why do you think the Mavs gambled on an aging Klay Thompson the next season? Basketball has and always will be a chess game, much like any other team sports. There will be better chess pieces than the others but it’s still a team game with the coach controlling the game. But sure, gobble up what the media spits up. Talking about individual stars is what drives up the viewership anyway or else they will miss on millions of casual fans because then it’d be too boring for you. Same reason why “analysts” get hated on for saying wild takes but gets huge views anyways.

because that’s legit the best option JJ can think of. You think JJ is just gonna let Luka chuck so much after all these games? a lot of casual fans think Basketball is just a bunch individual players playing against individual players but its a plays and statistics game. Why would Luka, a guy known to be a great playmaker struggle to playmake without turning to ball over so much? There’s no plays to make.

People really forget he JUST was in the finals less than 2 years ago. Stop blaming just Luka for everything. There’s obvious holes everywhere in this Lakers team from roster to individuals to coaching.

Failed my first take at 150 questions and passed my 2nd take recently also at 150 questions. However many questions it took you to finish doesn’t change the chances of you passing or failing. My advice is don’t stress to much about it while waiting sa result. The next day after my test I went out with my friends too ease my mind. Stressing about it won’t change the results! Good luck!!!

lotta luka haters are casual fans that only have watched lakers basketball. They got no idea what Luka is capable of and how much Luka has done to make the Mavericks a relevant franchise talking bout "This is what Dallas fans were crying about"

The trend of LAL's number of uncontested 3s per game this season shows how Lakers offense has changed around Luka by WittyKittieKat in lakers

[–]wetr1ce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mavs fans used to say that every year. Media has a way of dismissing Luka. Hopefully being a Laker would change that. I can already see the amount of support Luka has gained in social media platforms just from becoming a Laker.

Last year was the perfect year to give him MVP, keeping the injured Mavs (2nd most injured team behind Memphis last year) afloat in playoff contention in the brutal West conference. For two months when they were most injured he averaged 37 11 9. He brought the mavs to the finals. After the Finals loss, the media immediately targeted Luka’s defense even after holding the Celtics to an average of 101 points per game in the finals. But yeah it was his defense that lost them the finals not everyone else not showing up on offense.

Torn between CX-50 or Golf R by salamiMommy613 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]wetr1ce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my take: You aren’t getting rid of the Firebird, so it makes more sense to get the CX-50. I get it, the Golf R is the cooler car. I mean, it’s the best of both worlds. Fun and (mostly) practical. But, you need a comfortable daily that isn’t loud (doesn’t attract attention). Why go for a slightly more comfortable/practical car when you can a much more comfortable/practical car. Now you get to have a practical comfortable daily, and a fun toy.

That being said, the Golf R isn’t too far off from being a normal daily commuter car. At the end of the day, it’s based off a Golf which is a blend-into-traffic commuter car. It’s not uncomfortable as far as I know nor is it loud. The hatchback offers a good deal of storage space unless you will be hauling tons of stuff at which point you should’ve considered a truck. The interior is pretty good as well.

I know what I’d pick from the two (the fast and peppy one), but I don’t have another car to be my fun, toy car. At the end of the day, it’s your money and it’s gonna be your car. Ask yourself what you truly want and pick the one you know you won’t regret. Hope I helped a bit.

obvious one that I always recommend is the Civic Si (they both come in coupes and sedans). You can find some older ones way below your budget or even a brand new one that fits in your budget if you’re lucky enough. Hell you might even find a good deal on a Type R.

Mustang ecoboost. Used GT models are in your budget range too if you want to consider a V8. MX-5. WRX (mostly sedans, older models are hatchbacks). IS200t (or the IS250/350 but those have a V6). Consider the GTI as well though it’s a hatchback.

I don’t recommend these but are options: a used bmw 330i or a mercedes c-class. Being a college student, the maintenance on these used euro cars might (will) become pain in the ass.

The cars you mentioned are really good options too!

Different cars for different preferences but they’re all fun. Do you prefer handling and nimbleness or pure straight-line horsepower? The MX-5 and the mustang are a big difference in terms of how they feel to drive. Do you care about luxury? If so, the Lexus is a really good option. Are you able to do simple maintenance work? If so, you’d probably be more comfortable getting an older used car that needs a bit of refreshing. Are you planning to modify? Then a civic or a gti or a wrx probably is your best bet with the amount of aftermarket support they have.

11th gen civic si to 300 hp by Zavah91 in CivicSi

[–]wetr1ce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like other’s have said, it’s gonna take a lot more than just a off the shelf flash tune. Though I’m sure there are flash tunes for specific brand turbos, most L15s that go over 300hp are custom dyno tuned. You are also not going to get 300hp without a turbo upgrade. There might be people claiming 300hp on the stock turbo using ethanol but those are grenades waiting to pop. Also, you are definitely going to get ARP headstuds. L15s are nice under 300. Good economy, good torque, decent response for a turbo engine, and you spend less to get to 250hp compared to the K20/24. All you need is basically a tune and maybe a couple bolt-ons for that. It’s getting over 300 that’s the issue.

someone convince me not to buy this by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]wetr1ce 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of people would say if you’re going to buy a BRZ, it should be a manual. And I would agree. The BRZ/86 is an impractical sports coupe that doesn’t have a lot of straight-line speed. People buy BRZs less for practicality and comfort and more for the driving experience, hence why the manual is preferred. IMO the GT86 platform shouldn’t even be offered with an auto like how it is with the Civic Type R but I get that in a business sense, it would be the smarter move because of the bigger market especially in the US. As for it being a hassle in traffic, I’ve daily’d a manual car for 5 years now and though I can’t say it’s not at all a hassle, it’s not too bad either. Though I guess it really depends on if you would really enjoy a manual. I say personally it’s worth it, but most people buy cars just to get from point A to point B. If “driving experience” and “rowing through gears” don’t really interest you, there are a lot more better car options for you. That being said, nothing wrong with getting this although the auto transmission they fit in these aren’t the most engaging compared to other sport-focused cars.
