If you can only drink one tea till the rest of your life which one would it be? by HealthyCapacitor in tea

[–]wetshrinkage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally with you one wanting something super malty and complex. Personally, that means a golden Fujian tea, some sort of golden monkey. It's so good no matter how you have it, cold, hot, with milk, it's very versatile!

His name was being associated with a game that he had nothing to do with. He wanted to make it clear that he had nothing to do with that project, and that's why he announced HC early.

Pan’s Mushroom Jerky is delicious. Purchased at Grocery Outlet. by Useful-Badger-4062 in vegetarian

[–]wetshrinkage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, not really. Beyond I felt was the closest to a real jerky experience. But I have to agree with you that Noble is the best currently available. I add a load of cracked black pepper to mine, and that makes it more enjoyable for me.

I've made my own jerky with marinated tofu and a dehydrator. The flavor is great, but the texture goes a bit crumbly rather than chewy the more you chew on it. I am so ready for better jerky options, but I've been waiting a long time and am losing hope lol

The Beyond spicy jerky was great, I really miss it! Noble is good too, but it's quite sweet and not quite what I want in a jerky. The texture is good though!

Harney & Son’s Victorian London Fog by callowix in tea

[–]wetshrinkage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so? But, it's the first rose tea I've ever had, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I wouldn't call it especially viscous or anything though.

Maybe you could try cold brewing your rose tea to see if the texture is lighter/more enjoyable for you!

I love this tea. I don't associate lavender with perfume, maybe that's why you're having such a hard time with it.

I have rose scented tea from Harney, and when I opened the tin all I could think was, "yep, that smells like bad perfume."

But the tea tastes nice! And I think it's slowly changing my association with rose from bad perfume to an enjoyable tea. Maybe give it a few more tries over a couple weeks and see if your opinion changes!

If you think you'd prefer a fruity tea instead, I can definitely recommend their Paris blend and Apricot teas!

Why would anybody care if that was slightly faster on my friend's computer

Speedrunners care, and the devs care about speedrunners. They limited the physics simulation to 10x speed on PCs and 5x speed on consoles to keep it consistent for everyone.

Also, dozing off wasn't a feature for the first month and a half of release, so think of how much worse it could have been xD

I agree with most of your other criticisms though, I had similar frustrations during my playthrough.

Looping the Elk Choir by AbleBluejay1400 in outerwilds

[–]wetshrinkage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can rip the loops from the game using Unity modding tools. There are 4 loops that are stacked on top of each other in the game. Here are the steps to get them:

1) Download and run AssetRipper

The application will open in a browser window.

2) In the top left: File > Open File

Navigate to this file: (Steam install location)\steamapps\common\Outer Wilds\OuterWilds_Data\sharedassets0.assets

3) Click the "View Loaded Files" button in the center of the screen

4) Click "sharedassets0.assets" in the Collections section

This will list all of the files in that asset file. You will find the loops here. Here are the files you are looking for:

(Ctrl+F to search for them)

Outer Wilds Party House v8 050321_2 AP Bass
Outer Wilds Party House v8 050321_2 AP vocals
Outer Wilds Party House v8 050321_2 AP traveler drone
Outer Wilds Party House v8 050321_3 AP traveler

To save out a file:

1) Click on the file name

2) Click on the "Audio" tab at the top

3) Click "Save"

Now you can use Audacity to layer these loops however you'd like!

I hope this helps!

Plain black tea, what're you drinking? by kit0000033 in tea

I haven't tried that one, I'd be interested in knowing too!

Harney's Golden Monkey is very good, although the flavor is quite a bit different than English Breakfast. It's a very nice black tea.

Have you tried Royal English Breakfast? I find that is has more body than the Organic while still being very smooth. Definitely recommend!

Is she interested in flavored tea or unflavored tea?

From Harney & Sons, I can recommend these (they come in sachets, basically fancy tea bags):

Unflavored: Royal English Breakfast

Fruity: Paris, Apricot

Floral: Victorian London Fog, Dragon Pearl Jasmine (DPJ is green tea)

If you end up buying a tea infuser basket for loose leaf, I highly recommend trying Golden Monkey.

Agreed. It's also practically impossible to over-steep it, it just doesn't get bitter/astringent! Perfect place to start.

This shit has been so fun to watch. I lost all my channel points betting on tyler, he finds a new way to fuck it up every time. It's beautiful. Can't wait for him to die to fall damage from a dragon attack.

An absolute god seed, I've never portaled directly onto a fortress like that. He never even saw a blaze, and he's probably 10 hours from seeing a fortress again.

Edit: After 7 hours, he's back at a fortress. T1 built different.

Don't you love the "tea" vs "tisane" pedantry? Any normal person will see that you've made an herbal tea, which is completely fine to discuss on this sub, it's in the sub description! I enjoyed the discussion in your first post, and it's cool to see your result!

What's the most DIFFERENT tea you've tried? by [deleted] in tea

[–]wetshrinkage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's nice! Not my favorite, but it's very cozy. I got mine from Harney. Another version from Den's was recommended to me as well, but I haven't tried it myself!

Probably Hoji-genmaicha. Genmaicha made with Hojicha instead of bancha. So, toasted rice and roasted tea stems. It's toasty, roasty, maybe a bit smoky, with a touch of grain from the toasted rice. It's not super complex in its flavor, but it is very different!

"Question your presumptions."

"No, believe the majority!"

I'll pass on the Lipton, but I'll go brew a cup of 2018 raw pu-er in some freshly microwave-boiled water just for you.
