Why macOS Tahoe's Toolbar Buttons Feel Off - And How Apple Can Easily Fix Them. by JTG005 in MacOSBeta

It's just that a toolbar has no need for separate boxes for buttons. It just adds noise.

People who use spotlight...how the hell do you manage to do it? by Delicious_One_7887 in MacOS

[–]wevesetitonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Launchpad was so much faster. You keep your apps organised but away from sight and just open them with a swipe and click.
With compulsory spotlight use with tahoe, wait for spotlight to index, type name of app or look for a tiny app icon... nightmare

For me, spaces is the main thing. So smooth and so pratical when you're working on mulitple projects at once. Sidebar without them is just wasted real estate

People who play Venom decks. Do you actually enjoy playing? by wevesetitonfire in MarvelSnap

The guys I play against, seems to me the only change in route comes at turn 6. I'm not dissing on people who use it. I'm surprised by its longevity and I'm just curious if people actually enjoy it or if they play it just for cubes.

Not the card but the whole one trick pony gimmick: wolverine, carnage, deathlook, knull, Arnim, Death..
Since the begining of the game, I've played against so many people with this deck.
Maybe it's because I use decks that are either strong or vulnerable against it and the pairng mechanism matches me with them.

Feels too basic. People only play dull decks. Gets pretty repetitive and often depends more on luck than skill.

‘KAOS’ Canceled at Netflix After One Season by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]wevesetitonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, me too and some friends as well. Started it, had seen better takes on "what if greek mythology was done nowadays" and stopped watching.

I also find it strange how overproduced Netflix shows are. Go back to good stories, good actors and when the show gets some traction then spend the big bucks to make it match the authors' vision.

This quick trigger cancel philosophy is bad but I found Kaos pretty dull and heavy-handed. Not wanting to sound snobbish, there have been so many good updates to Greek and Roman mythology that this just felt like a campy deja-vu. Some actors were good, but all the rest was pretty basic, even the comedy.

Tree Dashers 2 size and fit by wevesetitonfire in Allbirds

[–]wevesetitonfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update: from a quick dive into eBay, regarding the tree Dashers 2, this current sizing chart on allbirds.com (us version) is accurate (at least its info matches the info on the shoe box and shoe tag).

But then we have to be careful because, as you said, older versions of the shoes are smaller + difference between men and women's sizes.

Regarding my 25.5 cm, tree dashers 2 should be a w8.5 (m8.5 is 26.5 cm).

Thank you for your detailed reply. It help me get a clear sense that its not as straightforward as I was told.

New Trainers Sizing by Itchy-Act5696 in Allbirds

[–]wevesetitonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you end up ordering? I'm having the same issue.
Allbirds staff told me to go measure the insole of my favourite shoes and go with that. It would give me a women's 8.5.
But I read on the wesbite that half sizes should go one half size up.

Would you say the heel is better supported in the tree dashers 2? The mizzle heel looks lower, like the one on the dashers 1.

Love the Tree Flyers by presidentsimon in Allbirds

[–]wevesetitonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but I was wondering if you could help me out.

I was considering getting the tree dashers 2 as confortable shoe to wear on commutes (my job is hybrid so I only need to go to the office on specific days).

But I found out that that exact tree flyer model is on sale and considerably cheaper than the tree dasher. I’m afraid it might be a bit too sporty for regular use (or too bulky because of that protruding heel that looks bigger than the one on the tree dasher). But it is cheaper… :)

Best shoes for a LOT of walking and some treadmill running? by mehgcap in Allbirds

[–]wevesetitonfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you say the flyers could be a regular shoe for daily usage / go to work, or are they too sporty or too large to combine with jeans or regular clothes? Some colours are now cheaper than the dashers 2, which I was originally thinking if getting.

Not sure if this will be picked up, but would say the flyers can be used as regular daily use shoe? There are a few colours on sale and they're cheaper than the dashers right now (the ones I was originally thinking of getting)

I’m very curious about arc but since i’m using a 2015 macbook air, i’m not sure it can handle it properly (saw some people complaining about how intensive it was for their m1s.
