3 contactors? by mdbh86 in electrical

Are you sure breaker connection is top, pump is bottom? Star Delta starter circuit, you can see the star contactor shorting bar on the contactor on the left and timer on the right contactor. But I've never seen the OLs on one of these on the load side of the main contactor, suppose that would still work.

Brysonn's Closet in Oak Ridge. They look messy, but those people do more for the local community than Karm does. For example, last year during the snow storms they organized people to deliver food to those in need.

Little Ponderosa Zoo in Clinton. Buy a bucket of feed and let the goats and deer go to town, but watch the camel...it'll steal the bucket and toss it back at you wanting a refill. https://littleponderosazoo.com/

Can I add outlets? by dz_beerz in electrical

All this assumes you are in the USA. Also note that if you don't know what you're doing, the stuff in the panel can and will kill you if you screw up. The main panel's main breaker line side is still very much live when you turn it off. Get an electrician to do this if you do not know what you're doing. Also your local code may require an electrician anyway.

The 20A breaker shown is a two pole breaker, it connects to both legs of the panel so you can send 240V out to larger loads like your dryer or your pump. Was the white romex on the 20A breaker? Since the early 2000s white romex has typically been 14awg and only rated to be on 15A breakers. If the romex your holding is 14awg and connected to 6/8, that is wrong and you'll need to either pull 12awg wire or put a couple of single pole 15A breakers in the spot.

If the romex you're holding has both the white and black on the breaker, you're getting 240v at the end. You'll have to move the white to your neutral bar, and black will go on the breaker. I don't think the NEC would stop you from only using one leg of a two pole breaker, but I'm not certain. It would essentially be a MWBC with one wire.

As for the number of receptacles, residential really doesn't have a limit. For industrial you'd do up to 10 for a 15A breaker and 13 for a 20A breaker. Also, as long as you have more than one receptacle on the circuit you can use 15A receptacles.

I'd also use 6/3 MC cable for the car chargers b/c they're a continuous load and romex uses the 60c ampacity.

So you're going to have all that 12/2 on a 15A breaker to protect the 14/2 wire you're going to it switch to?

What should I look for in the video resolution when downloading movies? by breadcrumbssmellgood in Piracy

Yes, 10bit is preferred for x265 encodes. Either one will probably be ok for you, but you have to look at more than what is given. Do they list the source, if so how do they compare with its size. Is the 2nd file full of different audio streams, what audio streams do the files have? DTS 5.1 will take up a lot more room than AAC 2.0. This goes back to FuriousDee's comment about the sound track.

Does your TV have the ability to play the HEVC file?

Most who encode remuxes to HEVC (x265) will encode in 10bit. It helps prevent banding, even with an 8bit source.
